Overseas Tarzan?

Does anyone know if there are any Region 1 countries that have Tarzan in the 2 disc version? Preferrably, the country should have the cover in English too. I ask because my brother once bought a dvd for a certain movie from Canada because they received a 2 disc treatment while the states did not.

Disney should be ashamed of its behavior. To think, all these lies and immoral behavior from the studio that made Pinnochio.

My thoughs on the Moratorium

Ever heard the term "Just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should"? I think this term applies very well to the Platinum releases. When Disney changed the moratorium dates, they did it for two reasons. 1) Give themselves flexibility. 2) To release all the titles on DVD before HDDVD c...

Picture Quality Improvements?

I've heard newer DVD's have better picture quality than the older ones mainly because they don't bother to waste space encoding the black letterbox on the top and bottom of the screen. The first release of Emperor's New Groove is rather old and I am not sure if they do this or not. I am wondering if...

Has Tarzan SE been confirmed? I can't find any repudiation or confirmation on the main page. I am currently missing 8 Disney Classics: Pinnochio, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, and Tarzan. Only Tarzan is not part of the Platinum line u...

The question becomes are you really selling a DVD at it's current value on EBay or are you taking advantage of people's lack of knowledge by selling on EBay? When you start asking yourself certain questions, the answer becomes obvious. For example, If it's the DVD true value, why is it that people d...

Moral Integrity (and Reselling Rare Disney DVDs)

I've been noticing a really disturbing trend over here at the forums. I've realized many people buy and hold on to their vaulted Disney DVD's until Disney decides to re-release them. Once Disney does this, these people quickly go out and sell their old one's on EBay for maximum profit. I myself have...

That's a pretty jerky thing to do to someone. And regarding number of sales, it wouldn't skew anything anyways. Ex. Before the Return Walmart Records 100 Full Screen (other customers purchase) 50 Wide Screen (other customers purchase) Disney Store Records 1 Full Screen (your purchase) After the Retu...

Deathie Mouse, that isn't necesarilly true. They will still grow up with some of the Disney Classics. I'm not saying that Disney should time them so that they release them all at once and wait 25 years. Instead, I am suggesting that they should release one of these classics every 5 years. Your kids ...

I personally like DVD's going on a moratorium. Why? Because I believe that these movies truly are special and having them available always cheapens them. It will be equating them with all the other stuff on the market. In my honest opinion, Disney in fact is releasing them too often. If anything, I ...

Your Own List of Disney Masterpiece

Well, commercial Disney has their list of "Disney Classics", but I disagree with them. Just because a company releases them as such and claims them to be, it doesn't make them so. So I have composed my "official" Disney classic collection. Here it is: Snow White and the Seven Dwa...

I just watched it several times this week. My thoughts were that it was rather entertaining but dull in meaning. I thought the characters were all very well done and very memorable. Slims three nephews were a riot, the Clint Eastwood character was right on the money, the horse was entertaining, and ...

Three Musketeers Mulan Preview Blunder

While watching the preview for Mulan on the Three Musketeers DVD, midway through the preview, the announcer says something like coming to VDD rather than DVD. I played it several times to confirm it, and it certainly sounds like a mistake. Anyone else notice this? If so, has Disney confirmed the err...

If I was Disney, I would save The Little Mermaid as the last Platinum to release. It would make sense that the Platinum Line starts with the one that started it all and ends with the one that started it all again. Besides, The Little Mermaid is perhaps the most loved Disney Masterpiece, even more so...

Suggestion For Additional Web Site Information

I was thinking it would be really cool to see movie going sales for the Disney Classics with one column for actual movie watching sales, one adjusted for inflation, one for actual money Disney spent on making the production, and one adjusted for inflation. I think it will put things into perspective...

i got a few Disney Classics I can't stand: :) I won't include any of the "classics" from the 40's because they are rather enjoyable little skits as long as you don' try to sit through the entire feature. The Sword in the Stone The Aristocats Oliver & Company The Rescuers Down Under Her...

I haven't gotten anything new from Disney for a while now. Last purchase was in May. I purchased Front Lines, Chronological Donald, and Mickey Vol. 2. I don't think Disney made any one of those Cinderella DVD case designs. I remember seeing a picture of all the different bootleg boxes available fo...

I truly doubt it has anything to do with fairy tales. I loved Aladdin, Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast and never heard any fairy tales resembling them before. The only fairy tale I remember reading was Little Mermaid but I don't think that was the reason for me loving it either. I just think the...
