Three Musketeers Mulan Preview Blunder

Post by slash »

While watching the preview for Mulan on the Three Musketeers DVD, midway through the preview, the announcer says something like coming to VDD rather than DVD. I played it several times to confirm it, and it certainly sounds like a mistake. Anyone else notice this? If so, has Disney confirmed the error?

Actually Mulan is the first Disney movie to be released on the experimental new VDD format. It holds 1.5x as much data as a DVD, and has a 7.5" diameter, instead of 5 inches.

Just kidding. I did give it a listen and it does sound like he says "VDD" but as if maybe it was mis-edited to sound like that somehow.

I expect we'll just have to wait to hear if Disney will replace these fallible Three Musketeers DVD!

Perhaps Disney will use this opportunity to fix it and call it a collector's edition :)

Or possibly, all the discs have been infected with a strange Venereal Disease.

Thus, they are Venereal Disease Discs (VDDs).

This discs have unsightly "adult" features, and a distinct lack of kiddie set-top games.

Disgusting!

Actually, the more I think about it, this might be the sign of the coming of the End of Days.

"And you shall know it by the 3 letters, which shall be V, D and D."

It's in Revelations, people!!!

Does it really matter, folks?
