Some interesting upcoming Disney DVD news for you today. Next spring's Platinum release has already been confirmed as Bambi (March 8). We've just learned that the fall will bring Cinderella, scheduled for October 4, 2005.
January of 2005, Disney will discontinue production on at least three titles. Going out of print will be The Lion King, The Lion King 1½, and the upcoming The Lion King II: Simba's Pride Special Edition.
May 23, 2004 - Our review of Candleshoe is the site's 130th. Disney gives this '70s drama starring David Niven, Helen Hayes, and Jodie Foster slightly better DVD treatment than Anchor Bay did.

May 20, 2004 - Three of the most popular catalogue titles scheduled for release in August are now no longer up for pre-order at Amazon. We've gotten word from our most reliable source that the highly-anticipated DVD debut of Dr. Syn has been delayed until next year, presumably to add more extras. We're not sure how that affects the other two titles, since The Shaggy Dog and The Shaggy D.A. were announced here with some substantial bonus features. There is the Tim Allen remake coming in 2005, but that's just speculation for now, until a delay is confirmed.
