Don't forget that Disney deliberately made choices to make the movie less intense (i.e. a comic relief villain) so that younger kids would be okay watching it. Showing Athena's body doesn't really jive with that idea. In a way it helps us relate more to Ariel and her sisters too. They didn’t see a b...

I really enjoyed the movie. My main issue was that I was expecting an Eric cameo and didn't get it. *Sigh*. I love Athena. The actress they got was perfect: her singing voice sounded a lot like Jodi, which worked really well. Back to the discussion in previous posts: "canon" is the word yo...

Regarding Ursula, I feel that saying she is less evil/a threat because she doesn't kill is a bit of an over-simplification. I mean if she had won all her victims would have been stuck as polyps in her garden until they died-and that's assuming they could still die. The thing is she's more of a power...

I believe Sean missed a few performances in...I think it was April and Bret had to go on. Most likely whoever recorded it happened to catch one of the shows with Bret.

Glad you enjoyed it! I have a lot of love for it myself. FYI if you're talking about theatre, the term is "cast recording" not "soundtrack". It's not a big deal, but it can be a pet-peeve for some people.

Yay-there are other people who are watching! I went into the series with fairly high expectations, and while I enjoyed the first few episodes A LOT, "Catalysts" (episode 7, the first appearance of the Green Goblin) was when it really started coming into its own. So what did you guys think ...

An Entr’acte is sort of an overture for act two: an instrumental piece made up of songs from the show that sets the mood (and gives people a little more time to get to their seats). I vaguely remember something that sounded like a shorter version of the overture, but it was a few months ago, so I co...

The idea of using Charmont was probably taken from Ella Enchanted.

Great and honest review DisneyDuster! Just a small point: Rob Paulson is the voice actor who did Eric in The Little Mermaid 2. Sean Palmer is the actor who originated the part on Broadway. I totallly agree that Eric loses a lot of his daring in the show. I wish that for example, in the storm sequenc...

Disney's gonna milk their cash cow 'til it bleeds. *sigh* I wonder how the tweens and tots will take to the replacement cast, though. Especially if the "sophomore wildcats" supposedly in the third film end up with a lot of screentime. Disney might accidentally create a preemptive backlash ...

True there's not much in the way of B Plots in Deathly Hallows but there are a lot of fast action suequences and interior monologue. Plus you could cut down some of the wedding, some of Harry, Hermione, and Ron in the woods, etc. I'm wondering when the cliffhanger will be: When Harry and Hermione ar...

I think one of the reasons the sad ending didn't fly is that while adults may see a movie for a variety of reasons, a child goes to the movies or watches TV to be entertained, period. That's not to say lessons can't be imparted on them, but if they aren't enjoying the program, they aren't going to s...

If Goblet and Order (the two longest books) could each be made into one movie, I don't see why the same can't be true for Deathly Hallows, but whatever.

Here's hoping this means a lot more Alan Rickman! (And Jason Issacs, and Tom Felton, etc.)

Unless PC REALLY tanks I bet they at least do The Silver Chair as well. I have however been somewhat unconvinced of them doing all the books, even though previously I'd heard that they would. The Horse and His Boy is centered around characters who don't appear in any of the other books. There also m...
