A TEENY bit from a song, and we can also suppose that she is bald.

Thought I'd get the discussions going on again. Here's some scene comparisons between TLM3 and the original film, rather than between the second and third. I'm sure they'll be easy to see the similarities, but if anything needs explaining, then feel free to ask. If it takes too long to load, you could just download it here: [click]
Hope you guys like them!

Woulden't it be cool if the ''blackish'' eels were to wrap themselves around marina and together they transform into ursula!
(unlikely to happen, but still!)
The overall look is great ,altough I think I can speak safely for many, we all would like to see a different mother for ariel, oh well can't have it all!
When it comes to brains, I got the lion-share,
but when it comes to bruth strength, I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool
They've done that in both sequels. In Return to the Sea, it was gold. In this one, it's a murky grey. Well, it shows how dedicated they are.
Although, to be fair, the throne room did seem to change based on the water at the time (as it was dark blue when Triton was worrying about where Ariel disappeared to), so the grey's more explainable than the gold.
Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ "Elizabeth Taylor"
Katy Perry ~ "bandaid"
Meghan Trainor ~ "Still Don't Care"
I knew when I was watching the sneak peek that there were many simmilarites to the origninal, but it looks great to have them posted together. For people who think he is all off model etc, I think she looks pretty darn good in these stills, compared to the original! I mean look at the mirror still; it looks like the origninal movie!
The only main difference I think is her hair; it isnt as deep a red as it was in the original movie. But what is funny though is that in AB, her fin is the colour it USED to be before the restoration, and TLM has the new, way brighter fin. Just an observation .. !
Wow...that certainly does support the theory that Marina and Ursula may be either related or in fact the same person.
And looks like Triton's palace had a face lift as well. Very nice comparison. Really does show you that the animators do pay attention to the original work.
Nice comparisons. And why -did- they alter the throne? The theory proposed is a rather good one.
Ack, here I am trying to remain spoiler-free! *shakes head at self*

While I did catch a few references to other films such as Enchanted, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, etc. I don't think that's the main point of the film, so I don't think they'd be including something like that. Would you guys like me to show you some of the similarities I found to other films, too?

of course its probably only me
It's not just you, they have been redone almost completely. In the original film, they're cross-eyed almost all the time, but since they're usually in a scene with Ariel, it was easy to shrug it off, since the main attention was on her, so the most work should've been on her.
