It was cheaply animated for a Disney feature, and releasing it on Blu-Ray would hardly look any better than a DVD. Huh? The quality of the animation itself and the level of picture quality you'd get from an increased resolution are two completely different things. You're mixing apples with oranges ...

Oh, there's no doubt it will turn a profit. The question is; how profitable is profitable enough for Disney?

I haven't read the series since 5th grade (ten years ago... Holy crap I feel old saying that) but I remember Susan loses her ability to enter Narnia when she discovers "sex". I don't remember why Peter never goes back. Aslan saying this at the end of PC could avoid them having to dive int...

Count me as one who's very disappointed that the BD's essentially the 2-Disc Collector's Edition rather than the 4-Disc Extended Edition. Unless Disney plans on bringing the latter to Blu-Ray, I guess I'm going to have to stick with my current copy and buy the rest of the series on BD. Sigh. Sure, ...

Is there any "offical" prove that Jedis is the White Witch?.
I'd say so, as The White Witch is actually sometimes referred to by that name. :)

Just out of curiosity, why do you suspect the disc is a bootleg? If it's just the fact that it's single layer, then that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Many films were released on single layer discs back then.

All of this whining about 'no commentary' or 'only on the single-disc' or what ever is driving me up a wall. Who the heck listens to the commentaries 100% of the way through a movie anyway. Huh?? Obviously, people do or it wouldn't be such a common DVD feature. Lots of movie lovers find commentarie...

For those of us non-tech-oriented interested forum members, can someone decode what you guys are saying Disney is doing? If I understand things correctly, they're doing exactly nothing that's of any concern to us. What they're "supporting" is a decision regarding some new specs on the alr...

Box Office Mojo has announced that Disney has pushed the release date of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader from its intial May 1, 2009 release back a year. The new release date for the third movie is now May 7, 2010. Crap! I was looking forward more to Dawn Treader than Princ...

There are a few G-rated movies that used the word "Hell" such as 101 Dalmatians (1961), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Cars. Doesn't that depend on the context of the word use, though? I mean, literally talking about Hell, as in a place where lost souls are eternally tormented,...

Well, if you have a really big screen, you will always see a difference between SD and HD... So yes, animation will benefit from HD.
