Not exactly DVD, but they do offer a replacement for the POTC1 Blu-Ray.

They should move Dawn Treader up to Christmas 2009.

Oh, there's no doubt it will turn a profit. The question is; how profitable is profitable enough for Disney?

Count me as one who's very disappointed that the BD's essentially the 2-Disc Collector's Edition rather than the 4-Disc Extended Edition. Unless Disney plans on bringing the latter to Blu-Ray, I guess I'm going to have to stick with my current copy and buy the rest of the series on BD. Sigh. Sure, ...

Just out of curiosity, why do you suspect the disc is a bootleg? If it's just the fact that it's single layer, then that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Many films were released on single layer discs back then.

Well, if you have a really big screen, you will always see a difference between SD and HD... So yes, animation will benefit from HD.
