Not to worry. The commentary is on there. It's called Cine-Explore (just like the Wall-E, Cars and Ratatouille Blu-rays).

Dumbo has long been mentioned by many of Pixar's brain trust (as well as many of their key story and animation people) as one of their favorite films of all time. You can say what you want, but I think Blu Ray is way too sharp and takes you out of the whole magic experience of watching a film. ESPECIALLY when watching animated films. The extreme sharpness is tiring for the eye and films don't look "filmish" anymore. Really? I think sleeping beauty ...

any news on the special edition DVD?

No. I have some contacts within the industry and I believe it will be out in November.

my sources are still telling me to expect a release this Fall in the U.S. Of course things can change, but it makes sense to release it this year with UP. Especially since the blu-rays are ready to go and all the contents will mirror the Japanese Blu...

saw this on HD last week on ABC Family. I thought it looked really, really good..can't wait for a blu release.

waiting for this with bated breath. It's always been a film that has a special place in my heart. I sat at a local library to watch a film print of this in the late 80s because I didn't think it would ever hit home video...

yep. there will be creative folks from Pixar involved (quite a few of them actually), but this will not be a Pixar film..

Pixar is a class act through and through and would never publicize this for personal gain...

If the Pinocchio blu-ray is any indication, this should look flat out amazing...

Unless I missed something, there are some KEY things missing from this DVD edition of Toy Story (which were included on Disc 1 of the UTB). Toy Treats (all those wonderful bumpers that Pixar did for ABC Saturday Morning cartoons). This is the most glaring missing item and will force me to keep the U...

I just got the Lion King gift and it's quite nice. Do any other platinum titles have a gift set (other than the upcoming Aladdin). Any info is much appreciated.

I just spoke to the webmaster over at frankanollie.com and he stated that the DVD is coming before the end of year (courtesy of Disney) with extra features! I guess we can all retire our VHS copies soon!
