January 2, 2004 - As promised, the polling part of our Top Live Action Disney Films countdown begins today - vote now for your 10-20 favorite live action Disney films!

January 1, 2004 - Happy New Year! The next twelve months look to be an exciting time for Disney DVD collectors, as the studio unleashes a record number of 2-Disc Special Editions, including Alice in Wonderland later this month, as well as a record number of catalogue releases, including some that haven't seen the light of home video for a great number of years. Spring and summer bring the long-awaited Wave 3 of Walt Disney Treasures, double-disc Masterpiece Edition releases of Pocahontas and Lilo & Stitch, and more of the studio's TV shows on disc. As in past years, the end of January marks an indefinite return to the "vaults" for a handful of Disney DVDs being retired. In the fall, Aladdin, the third highest-ranked film in our recent countdown of the best Disney animated classics, finally will make its DVD debut as a 2-Disc Platinum Edition.

One of 2004's 2-disc sets, The Lion King 1 1/2, is the subject of a new DVD preview page. Check it out for a first look at menus, bonus features, and more, for this February 10 release.

Lastly, this Tuesday, January 6 marks the three-year anniversary of this website. Chances are, you haven't been around here that long, and this could very well be your first visit to the site. Nonetheless, it is the support and enthusiasm of some vistors that have helped this site grow and allowed our forum to flourish against odds. Thanks to all of those who have contributed to this site in some way.
