The 2-disc release marks a return to double-disc sets for new animated theatrical releases. The film will apparently be presented in both 1.66:1 widescreen (which they're calling "Full Frame") and 2.35:1 widescreen (which matches the majority of the film's theatrical exhibition ratio). Read the full press release here.

Down to the top 5 in the Countdown, today's featured film is the 5th classic from the 1950s to make our Top 20, and the 5th animated feature Disney made in the 1950s. It's also a fairytale which inspired some interesting comments from voters. (#5)
December 11, 2003 - Curious about the "I'm Odd" unused song that has been prominently promoted on next month's Alice in Wonderland: The Masterpiece Edition DVD? Well, we've now set up a page of "I'm Odd" stills from the Disc 1 bonus feature.
More Disney Channel content is coming to DVD next March. The 66-minute film Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time arrives March 16, with an SRP of $19.99. Full press release here. The same day, two new overpriced 'volumes' featuring assorted episodes of Disney's popular "Lizzie McGuire" show - "Star Struck" and "Totally Crushed" - hit store shelves. Full press release here.

December 6, 2003 - We've got the first look at the sophisticated and stylized menu screens from next month's 2-disc Alice in Wonderland: The Masterpiece Edition. December 1, 2003 - And so we kick off December, my favorite month, with some exciting news about next year's DVD releases. Next summer sees three more TV show season sets being released, including two series making their DVD debuts - "Boy Meets World" and "Popular". More on that here.
The 2003 Top Animated Classics Countdown continues with the 14th highest-rated film from the Disney animated canon - a lively caper about an enormous litter of puppies. (#14)
