I have this set, new in box, and I need to sell it due to vet bills. Would anyone be interested in these dolls? Thank you.

40s version of The Little Mermaid

I watched this concerning what TLM might have been like if made in the 40s: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPA08THAtKc I'm just curious, does it say anywhere why Disney wanted to make TLM such a sad story? Even the ending would have been much sadder, with the part about her gaining a soul being cut ...

I feel like that part of Disney's magic has died. I remember, starting from The Little Mermaid, how I would wait to hear what the next animated movie would be, then would get all excited waiting for it to come out. That's...gone now...;__;

What I'm worried about is whether or not "Tangled" is going to capture the essence of the Rapunzel fairy tale or if they are just going to name her Rapunzel and do everything different. Even when they changed parts of Little Mermaid or BatB, the basic story was still there. Rapunzel should...

Let's hope that real life chameleons and the like aren't appealing to kids and that they stick with stuffed versions of Pascal.

best animated movie?

In your opinion, which Disney movie has the best animation?
While looking at screencaps at Magical Screencaps (dot com) I've found some inconsistent art in The Little Mermaid, Cinderella and others.
Are any of the animated movies almost flawless?

plot point in Sleeping Beauty that bugs me

Why did the fairies bring Aurora back to the castle before her birthday was over? Wouldn't it have made more sense to keep her hidden until past that?

bondage in Disney movies

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I didn't see anything on it. I recently came across this site: http://www.kennetti.fi/sw_scariestmain.html and it's interesting how so many (male) characters in Disney movies end up in chains or tied up XD I know there's a lot of ways to look at it...I ne...

my father adored Disney all the way to passing away at 75. He so wanted to be a Disney animator, but lost his depth perception in the Korean War :( why would lack of depth perception affect ones ability to draw/animate? he might not have been able to view movies with 3d glasses, but if his vision w...

I'm 32 and I think the original Disney movies (not counting sequels, prequels, etc) are much more for "older" viewers than the young. There are just so many subtleties (sp?), dark images, analogies, etc. that young viewers don't catch them all. Plus, my father adored Disney all the way to ...

She said "I see why. I mean if I had a little boy who said 'Mommy, I want to go see Rapunzel,' I might start questioning things." That just shows another problem with parents these days. On that note, "Tangled" sounds just as girly to me now.... :lol: I still think of a Barbie d...
