I have zero problem with this. The Star Wars LEGO shorts have been successful and entertaining and generally contain a dose of irreverence so as long as the formula isn't changed for the shorts, I'm down.

I referred back to the script. All of the fairies were the size of 'small humans.' so.. that's that. they have pointed ears and wings, that's all that's discernible about them. There was never any growing/shrinking like in the animated film. All that and the coronation scene were re-written complete...

yes, that should be no surprise. all of that was completely re-written. except for Maleficent taking charge and becoming de facto ruler of the Moors as seen in one of the clips, there is no oligarchy (and pretty much so that she can do just that).

Interestingly enough, I'm not sure in the leaked script if they ever appeared in human form (I don't think they did?) so there was some conscious decision to take it from the animated film (as well as with certain other scenes/changes, even from the novelization).
