So, is it news that Almost Angels and The Sword and the Rose have been added to the club exclusives or did I simply miss the post? Regardless, I'm probably in for Sword, still on the fence about Angels.

Well, there's what I might want and then there's what will happen. Studios are amazingly predictable with catalog releases. Just go back to the first ten on VHS, compare it to DVD and there's your BR list. When you get to a list of a hundred, you start to see variance, but for the first ten? Forget ...

Well, I believe it'll be years, if ever, before we see anything like this on blu. The first question, of course, is do they even have 4k scans of all the shorts? Basically, are they currently HD ready? There is no way they're going to just dump a mountain of SD material on blu to simply utilize the ...

Surprised nobody has mentioned Disney censoring Fantasia for at least the U.S. audience to protect us from the boobie fairies...or horses. I can't exactly remember what it was that they figured audiences of today couldn't handle.

The last half of the year is going to be worth it, though - James and the Giant Peach - Beauty and the Beast - Crimson Wing - Oceans - Fantasia Then there's going to be those lame recent things like Christmas Carol and Tinkerbell, probably that Sorcerer business if you really want to be technical I...

Well, there's another annual 100 bucks I won't be spending on Disney product. Now that I think about it, I might not be spending a single cent on Disney product anymore as they seem to have completely abandoned their back-catalog. I already got the first go around on their feature length animated st...

Considering that they are essentially going to be 20 dollar booklets, you're right. The darn things ought to be phenomenal. Personally, for 20 bucks I would expect an entire book on the subject, not a dozen or so pages.

:?: I missed out on the True Life Adventures when they were in stores. Are they all OOP now, or are some still available? Looks like Volume 1 may be OOP as it's selling on Amazon for $69. They're just like an old wave of Treasures. They're all out of print but some can be had easier than others. Wh...

Now, this is probably a far-fetched rumor, but maybe they're going to release the series on Blu-Ray. We all know about how obsessed Disney is (and how they want their fans to be obsessed with it, too) about Blu-Ray. Think of it. They can release several older prints this way and create some new one...

Thank you very much. So it isnt widescreen and it doesnt really have any bonus material. Considering it was a mistake to send the disc in the first place I guess we cant say that this is the way future releases in this series will be presented. It looks like they are first offering the titles that ...

Well that's very disappointing as it sounds like I'd be paying 20 bucks for a tin. I already have most of the live action releases and can get the remaining ones for a lot less than that price since it looks like they are simply repackaging old discs. About the only consolation here is that so far, ...

Any word on when the second title ships? I'm interested in the program, but I'm not going to jump in at 20 bucks a pop if they're simply going to reissue the exact same discs that have already been collecting dust on shelves for the last few years. Swiss Family Robinson was a great first title, but ...

Huh. Well, so much for my Disney buying. Honestly, this was the only stuff I was reliably spending my money on with this company for the past few years. I already have copies of all the classic animation and most of the live action that I care about. Anymore, I don't bother with all their re-release...

The South American screen caps look identical to this release, except for the different entries for the bonus features. Looks like the same transfer, at least based on those few caps.

Just guessing here, but Disney frequently seems to default towards programming for the 5 year old, not the collector. Not a big surprise that they'd dump anything an avid adult fan might be interested in and replace it with more cartoons.

Bleh, looks like just So Dear To My Heart for me. Just got the flyer in the mail and all 3 are listed as full screen. Obviously not a problem for So Dear, but I'm not buying the other two with their sides chopped off.
