So, the Burger King Lenny isn't all that accurate? I thought he was pretty close. Well, in that case I do hope they make him. Would like a proper version of the spider-baby too, ha. And I'm a bit confused on all the different sizes of RC lately. Only one size has the COA, right? I only one the proper one.
The Burger King Lenny is very accurate, I think he's just a tad small compared to the other figures in terms of scale lol.

And the RC I have pictured is the one that comes with the CoA.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Got Buzz and Woody today at Toys R Us. Got 'em for 39.99 each because of the sale, and got a 10 dollar gift card too, plus they came with a free backpack (got the last one they had, which I found just lying somewhere). Pretty sweet, and they are amazing toys, though I was disappointed to find a few production flaws after getting them out of the package at home. In fact, some pretty bad ones on Buzz, like some black specs in the helmet (molded into the plastic) and some paint problems in various places. Should really have returned that one, but I knew there weren't many to choose from as it is and there'd be even less tomorrow. I'll just have to display him at the right angles. *sigh* They're probably issues that wouldn't bother the average person, but they annoy me, ha. I am expecting the alien 3 pack from ToysRUs.com Tuesday, so all I need now is R/C. Considering I don't have much money to throw around, I shouldn't have rushed to get all these, but I get so annoyed with how fast toys disappear in my area when I don't jump on them, and then they're sky high on Ebay.

Incidentally, I wonder if it is really bad on the batteries of these toys to leave them in the on position? Man, that switch on Woody is hard to get at!

They turn off automatically. even Buzz when you keep his wings deployed.

So why the off switch? Does their automatic sleep mode really save the battery just as if you switched it off, because I've heard some toys will milk it if you leave them in the on position. (Thanks for the response, by the way)

The instructions for them say that in sleep mode it will conserve battery life but it's reccommended to turn them off for prolonged periods, which implies to me that even in sleep mode it's using the battery, if only slightly. But I have no idea truly.

I finally got RC, which uses NINE (!!!!!!) batteries. Sheesh!! Yes, he came with 4, but mine were drained almost instantly due to the "Play Me" button getting pushed. True, you don't need the remote batteries technically, but it's way better with the remote!

I now own the complete line, except for the wrong soldiers which irrates me, nobody near me has the COA one. I'm afraid to risk Amazon and get the wrong bucket, but the whole idea they released two buckets annoys me.

Yeah, in some cases it's weird that they released two or even more versions. So confusing I mean... I still have only seen the COA Rex at the Disney Store. Incidentally, I notice my COA Rex isn't all THAT interactive, nor does he seem to have that many different phrases. I wonder if his battery was run down or something, but he speaks loud and seems to work and move fine, just doesn't seem to do all that much as I would expect compared to Buzz or Woody. They sort of interact with each other, but he doesn't really interact with them. And, yeah, I've switched him from the Try Me mode to the Play mode, so it's not that. He's awesome, but I wish I could get more phrases out of him or something. He usually introduces himself when you twist his tail, but sometimes says other stuff, including that he needs a nap. If I don't twist his tail, he doesn't speak, though I seem to remember him speaking at least a little more often and without tail twisting when I first brought him home... Maybe it IS the batteries.

Hmmmm ... my Rex did the same thing, he didn't say anything other than maybe 3 phrases... and they were the simple "Try Me" phrases too. Here's what I did that seemed to help: turn Rex off for 5-10 seconds (as in move the slider to the OFF button for 5-10 seconds), then put him back on Play Mode. I got a ton of new phrases after that.

I'll try that, thanks. Wonder if it is a used up battery issue from the Try Me button.

Edit: That seems to work (for getting more phrases at least), though he still doesn't respond to voice. Sometimes to sounds, but rarely. Probably the batteries.

Mine has a hard time responding to voices, too. I think the only time I got a response was when I yelled really loud at him and he responded with something like "Ahhh, what was that? I don't like confrontations!" like in the movie. If I have him near Woody and pull the string, that is loud enough for Rex to respond and Woody to hear Rex and then talk. It's funny!

I'm curious though if your Rex's head clicks if you turn it when he's not talking. Mine makes a constant click-click-click if I turn his head when he doesn't speak. I got a bad Rex at first that did that and also was very muffled when he spoke, I exchanged it and he talks fine I assume I have a good one, was just curious if the clicking head was something on all of them.

Yeah, my Rex's head clicks. I try not to move his head or arms myself, but it does click when I turn his head. And, after unpackaging my new Buzz and Woody today, I put them all together to hear them converse. Rex didn't even hear them, ha. They reacted to him, but not vice versa. He just doesn't hear well, it seems, though he speaks loudly and clearely. It was entertaining to hear Buzz and Woody converse though, as it sometimes made more sense. I find myself wondering if that interactive Buzz and Woody 2-pack is the same as these two? Didn't look further into that before buying though. I tossed the packaging for all these toys, by the way (except the soldier bucket though), since for me the "Toy Story" logo ruined the authenticity of the otherwise beautifully designed boxes. The Buzz and Woody ones are probably the only ones I would have wanted to keep though. I do wish the soldier bucket's Toy Story logo had just been on slip off plastic though.

Now I'm trying to decide what to do with my original Buzz and Woody. I do love the way Woody is posed thanks to the wire in his body though... But man, do these ever look better! Aside from the black flecks (pretty big ones) and scuffs on Buzz's helmet that weren't noticeable in the packaging. He has some paint scratches too, but it seemed all the ones in the store had some of that. There weren't many C.O.A. versions to choose from. Hope I can get RC before Black Friday (and any others that come out by then), because the shopping here is so vicious.

You know what's fun? Letting the toys talk to each other.

All you do is setup Buzz, Woody, and Rex so that they're all fairly close to each other, then activate them and they all so phrases to each other (nothing specific, just the ones as if YOU were talking to them) and it looks like they're talking to each other

Thats crazy man, its just logo. I know, it bugs me too, but the rest of the packaging is great. I'm thinking of trying to make a patch of sorts in photoshop to cover up the logo, filling in what would be underneith the best I can. if they turn out good I can provide them in this thread. if printed on glossy photo paper with a nice printer and at the right size they should look pretty good.

I just caught a commercial for the Toys R Us Big Book, and at the very begining it shows MR.POTATO HEAD standing next to Woody in the ad??? But I don't recall seeing him there when someone posted the ad online. Does anyone have the Big Book and is he in there??? :?

I am definitely keeping the boxes for my Woody and Buzz dolls. The Toy Story logo does not bother me much to be honest.

Also, I got the CoA version of the Bucket O Soliders a few days ago for 12.99 (Same price as the non-CoA bucket).

Ha, I finally got my Rex to react to the others last night after I got offline, and yeah, it's neat except when they are all talking at once, ha.

Well, for me the logo being there just defeats the purpose of the authentic packaging. Especially when it comes to actually keeping the packaging anyway. I'm not too big on keeping my toys packaged anyway though, but in the case of the soldier bucket, well, that's really annoying. A patch is a good idea for the paper packages at least though.

By the way, got my alien 3-pack in the mail today! Very nice, if not too exciting since they are just hard plastic that does nothing, ha. Awesome for display though. Can't wait to round out the first wave with an RC!

The ad was probably made in a hurry or the photographer quickly took pictures for the ad and they didn't push the feet in all the way. It looks really funny, but don't worry, I don't think it is a big deal.

For one, that's not what the real book looks like at all. Mr. p isnt in the final book.

And yeah, it seems they rushed. I bet they just did a screen grab of how he looked in one of lasetter's videos. and by the way, the rest of those characters are just the 3d models from the animated part of the ad. so the only photo there is Mr. potato head. the rest are just 3d models. oddly proportioned ones at that.

You know what's gonna suck? I'm gonna go to Target, Toys R Us, and the Disney store on Black Friday to see if I can find Hamm and/or Mr. Potato Head... and I probably won't find 'em :( lol

My mom found me the accurate soldiers today. Finally. Also had her pick up RC for me, so I'll have those within the next hour er so. Thought about getting the aliens too, but she says the paint was sloppy on the eyes, so I'm gonna hold off til I find a better one. this is probably something I need to see in person any way. Still no expensive Rex to be found. has anyone found him lately?

Anyway, I think I'll end up selling my old soldiers on ebay, wonder if I can get more than I paid for them due to being rare (I think) now.
