I dont have a blu-ray player, and have no interest in buying one for the time being....but i want all the documentaries...so what am I supposed to do??
So unfair!
Stop whining it part 1, secondly if you want them so badly invest in Blu Ray a player is only $99. at Walmart, plus you know Disney is going to push this format hard so either you buy into it or not.
I find it ironic that CampellzSoup is complaining about Marce82 "whining" about the ridiculous way Disney is aggressively screwing their loyal DVD consumers out of bonus feautures, all in an obvious, aggressive attempt to manipulate people into jumping on the "Blu" bandwagon....
Yet, just a few post earlier, CampellzSoup does a bit of "whining" himself:

I just want the damn Blu Ray release stop putting the DVD in it.
You just want your "Blu", and we just want our DVD bonus features, including on Disc 2.
The bottom line is, this site is here for
ALL of us to voice our opinions and legitimate concerns, be they positive or negative. It's not here just so people can be cheerleeders for "Blu"; it's also for
DVD customers as well. And last I checked, DVD still has the commanding lead in sales, in many more homes, than BD.
So, considering this forum is here to discuss the
DVD as well as the BD, Marce82 has every right to voice the
VERY legitimate concerns about the half-arsed DVD releases Disney is starting to trot out, with bonus features deliberately rationed and withheld, all in an agressive, hardball, attempt to make us kneel before the Almighty "Blu" and accept it as our Home Video Lord and Master.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the more aggressive they become in their tactics, the more determined I am to
NEVER go "Blu". I'll take one of my collector friends up on their offer to burn any "BD exclusive" extras that are compatible with DVD, onto a DVD for me, before that happens.
Right now, I can think of at least 99 other things I'd rather spend my money on than a 99 dollar BD player. I
NEVER give in to coercion and pressure! Frankly, at this point, I wouldn't want the "Blu" player if Disney gave me one for free. Well, maybe I would accept the prize, and then sell it to buy some
DVDs!
PS. I hope
YOU are reading this, BVHE rep!
For each DVD release that gets the shaft in the extras department in order to make the precious "Blu" bonus feature linup look better and more "exclusive", Disney will not get a PENNY out of me. I'll get copies of everything you leave off the DVD burned onto a recordable DVD from a friend instead!
If Disney wants to show such disdain and contempt for their loyal
DVD customers and play hardball, I can play hardball too!
PPS. Well, I guess this post answers Marce82's original question as to whether anyone else agreed with their post!
