How many titles got a DTS release and are they honestly worth picking up? I saw Pinocchio Limited Issue in DTS sound and wanted to know if it' s surperior to THX?

Was this 1977 film released in 1.75:1 or 1.66:1? I've heard both on numerous websites and i'd love a definitive answer. Maybe someone here is seen one of the kits sent to theaters advising them on how to display it?

Can someone list each of the changes from the theatrical version on the home video releases over the years please? I don't think i'm aware of them all tbh. IMDB says the DE has the color of the Sea shells fixed? ''Ariel's sisters' clamshells from "Daughters of Triton" return to their blue ...

This DVD came out well before the Platinum Edition so i'm curious as to what the transfer is like? Does it have the color change of the sea shells etc?

I noticed on the BluRay forums that Mickey's Christmas Carol's picture has been cropped to hell. Alot of picture has apparently been lost, why would this happen? What is the deal with picture cropping?

I'm hoping somebody here will have some info on this


I noticed when watching this episode last night that this episode doesn't it's usual musical intro. Was it cut or was this the way it was broadcast on tv?

On the 2001 Platinum edition it mentions these as being lost after the Buena Vista era where R.K.O cards were hacked off.

It then shows imitated R.K.O cards. How can the originals be lost for good? Surly someone out there has to have an original film print right?

We know about the Walt Disney Animated Studios canon and it's 50+ films, but i've always wondered what canon movies like The Reluctant Dragon and So Dear to my heart would fall under?

I just got a copy of Pinocchio Platinum edition combo pack indvd style case and it only came with movie rewards, no chapter booklet etc.

It also had no security tape on top of the case either.

Is this cause to think it's a bootleg?

The aspect ratio of CINDERELLA is 1.37:1. You could always stretch the image to fit your 16:9 TV. Or else, you could put black tape over the top and bottom of your frame. The dvd's website lists the dvd and blu ray as having a 1.33 : 1 and IMDB lists the film as having a 1.37 : 1 aspect ratio. So s...

I just popped the dvd in and the aspect ratio is like a square on my television. Black boarders on all 4 sides of my standard box style tv.

What is up with this? It looks terrible!

Is there a company out there than can convert Laserdiscs to dvds? I'd love to buy a ton of Laserdiscs and have them converted.

These shows are very hard to find and it's nice to have a list like this.

So has Lowry or Disney ever commented on the terrible restoration of this film? I know it's not as simple as a disc replacement program, but they need to acknonwledge the butchering that happened here. I can't believe the revisited Bambi in 2009 but just used the same 2005 restoration of Cinderella ...
