I don't have time to scrub all 52 pages of this thread, but I can't be the only one who's miffed at the changed Disney logo/deleted Frank Wells dedication, can I?

Is nothing sacred? Were they afraid people would return the movie if it didn't have the CGI castle logo? Ridiculous.

Anyone have any Excedrin? You are now connected to Patrick from Amazon.com. Me:Hi. I ordered "The Lion King" on Blu-ray on Monday morning with two-day shipping. It doesn't look like I'm going to get it until tomorrow. That's three days (four if you count Monday).14:42:01 Me:My order didn't...

Thanks! Yeah, I finally got a shipping confirmation at 6:02 pm (PDT). Kind of frustrating; I was hopi...

Is there a chance that with the success of The Princess and the Frog, and with Winnie the Pooh coming up, Katzenberg wants to try his hand at hand-drawn animation again? It's been about a decade since Dreamworks has released such a film.

Yeah, I don't imagine they'll let next year go by without commemorating the 20th anniversary with a Blu-ray release.

The old grouch in me now considers The Disney Channel "damaged goods." The tweens can have it; it's theirs. I'd like to see Disney start a new channel for adults and families, though. Kind of a mix between the old Disney Channel, MGM-HD and Turner Classic Movies, complete with hosts introd...

Criminy... what's the matter with the original poster art? They're really batting zero with these Blu-ray covers.

Thanks for the reply, 2099. I read through that thread. What a drag! Hopefully Disney, like Fox for their title, will come through and replace Pinocchio for those of us who have it (even though it's going into the "Vault" next month).

I'm not holding my breath, though.

I so wish I would have read this thread before I went and re-formatted my PS3! I'm having the same problem. The exact error message I get is as follows: "This feature cannot be played. It can only be accessed on Blu-ray players that support Bonus View." All my other Disney discs with Cine-...

Disney Channel listings: January 14-January 20, 1990

Source: TV Week magazine from the January 14, 1990 edition of The Spokesman-Review . I thought some would find this interesting. This is the Disney Channel I remember from my youth. It's jarringly different from the Disney Channel of today. NOTE: There are some holes in these listings, mainly due t...

I do wish Disney would toy with the idea of doing wide or limited re-releases of their classics in theaters, whether the title has been on home video or not (especially if the title's been in "the Vault" for quite a few years). I know times have changed, but some of my favorite memories as...

The first Disney movie I remember seeing was The Jungle Book in one of its theatrical re-releases when I was very small. I believe it was a double feature with Splash.

I remember seeing Pinocchio at a movie theater soon thereafter.

Do we know for a fact that all of these are HD? The reason I ask is because I've seen "HD" broadcasts of Aladdin and Pocahantas, and they both looked like upconverts of the DVD transfers to me, and not true HD.
