Funny that he had to add a second page to the "review" in order to make the actual "review" longer than the silly anti-BD rant. Before that it as hard to tell what the focus really was. Idiotic fool...

@ 2099net: Whether or not Luke or any other UD reviewer reviews the picture quality of the bonus features is irrelevant to my point. Infact, I did say Luke could review the film o DVD and the bonus materials which were on the Blu, if he wanted. But that's not what I'm arguing. I'm saying this is pa...

Ahh youtube...always accurate. In this case the images represent the otv and the imax version very well. Go compare the laserdisc with the dvd version please, and you'll see that it looks exactly like this. Now you know this, anything else you have to say? You're so touchy. :D Check your ego there ...

Luke obviously isn't qualified to take on that debate either.

Snob? No. I just happen to enjoy the fullest potential of films I can experience at home. Proper video and audio equipment are needed to experience films as intended. I'm sure you also prefer Pan & Scan DVD's as well! Actually I prefer widescreen, when a movie is actually filmed in widesc...

The readership are used to thorough reviews that cover the bonus features. Since he was not able to do this in a timely matter due to Disney not sending Disc 2, he offered an explanation as to why. So stop acting like you can't understand this. Have fun enjoying those DVD's on your 27" RCA. Ye...

"Proper HT equipment"? You mean like 100 dollar cables? No thanks, I'd rather spend that money on more DVDs and CDs, or trips to various locations, or any number of hobbies I have. Not everyone has the same approach to watching movies. Personally, I watch movies for the emotional journey ...

If you don't know that a better audio and video presentation can enhance the experience one goes though with any scene...then you need more help than I can provide. I don't need any "help", techie snob. I enjoy my movies just fine on DVD. Looks like the Norway pavillion at Epcot is not th...

If you want them "untampered" then buy the superior blu-ray copy with the DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack.

It also makes perfect sense for Disney to only send out 1 package across the board to all recipients and cut down on management and administration time. I don't know if you noticed, but most companies are actively seeking to minimise costs due to the economic climate. The point is Luke says its an ...

I originally wasn't going to reply to this, or was going to say something sarcastic, but... I'll try to be diplomatic. The blu-ray release came with the only DVD needed for a review of the film itself. UD reviews have always been meticulously thorough in their review of the bonus features, which wo...

You idiotic people who don't see the obvious and oftentimes very dramatic PQ and AQ improvements in blu-ray compared to SD DVD...you should be embarrassed. Just because you can't afford the appropriate equipment is no excuse for being uninformed as well.

Re: Pinocchio Comparison Shots (Marky get in here)

I only came here to tell you just how silly you are. The well respected folks over at AVSForum.com are laughing at you... "Well respected folks"? Haha well, that's funny :) I suppose sometimes the fetish for the newest stuff takes over, but If that makes people not see the fact that scene...

Re: Pinocchio Comparison Shots (Marky get in here)

I don't want to replicate that look, I want an image to work, and I want it to make a difference on Pinocchio's face if a flame burns in front of him! I'm not going to mess with my settings to make an image work! And let them laugh, and be happy with their sterile image with no source of light, no ...
