Re: The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Info Thread Vol. 4

Just got my first set of leftover DMC Blu orders: -Peter Pan -Mickey and Friends: 10 Classic Shorts Volume 2 -The Little Mermaid (23) I already own Peter Pan, although I like the vintage cover. I didn't own the live-action Little Mermaid, it's better than most of the remakes, but I don't know if I n...

Re: The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Info Thread Vol. 4

I've messaged DMI on Facebook, and they refuse to wave this rule, so I'll be missing out on a bunch of potential points. Very disappointed, I wish we had more time- at least when DMC shut down, we had a couple of months to make final purchases. At least the rewards will still be available and they'...

Re: The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Info Thread Vol. 4

I'm not too surprised that this is happening, but I wish they'd at least wave their standard 5 code redemptions per day rule, I have a lot of codes to use and may not be able to redeem them all before the 6th. I've messaged DMI on Facebook, and they refuse to wave this rule, so I'll be missing out ...

Re: D23 Expo 2024

My brief takeaway from the film announcements is that I'm hopeful for many of these projects, but I'd much rather have something that makes me feel the same way the original Toy Story and Incredibles did than more Toy Story or Incredibles.

Re: Do you still keep a collection of Disney DVDs/BDs/4Ks?

I've also noticed how Disney titles went from around the priciest on the second hand market to the cheapest with D+, and that's been helpful to me in some cases. Especially as this even includes a lot of the Disney Treasures sets, which I've been able to find for reasonable prices lately. I...

Re: D23 Expo 2024

Jealous about the Mr. Penguin plush and curious about the Ichabod and Mr. Toad figures. I'm particularly a sucker for that movie- still own a collectible Headless Horseman straw that I got from Liberty Square ages ago.

Has anyone scored the random Blu yet? I got mine, which is a copy of the Hunchback 2 pack... disappointing, since I already own it.

Re: Do you still keep a collection of Disney DVDs/BDs/4Ks?

I own every WDAS (aside from The Sword in the Stone, whose butchered release I refuse to buy) and Pixar film on Blu-Ray, as well as a lot of live-action films on either DVD or Blu. I think my most recent live-action purchase (at least in terms of release date) was Cruella, which I bought out of curi...

Re: Gargoyles (Television Series) Discussion Thread

I saw this series and they look cute, but $15 for one little plushie seems like a rip-off to me. I'll probably order one or two if they go down in price. I hope you get your Kickstarter order soon, UmbrellaFish . I've noticed that the comics have frequently run behind schedule, but I think it's more...

Re: Disney on Ice/on Broadway

I've never been to Disney on Ice, but I recall looking into its history and was interested in a couple of different versions. I know they had a DuckTales story back in the late 80s/early 90s which featured what I believe is the only Gyro Gearloose fur costume, and there was also a Gargoyles story th...

Re: Is the Disney Movie Club worth it?

Disney Movie Insiders appears to be adding some more DMC titles. They put the Rocketman Blu on there. but they also have mystery Blus- 1200 for one, or 3500 for three-packs, which can be either Marvel, Star Wars, Disney/Pixar, or non-specific. Not to mention four random lithographs for 1550. I did o...

Re: Toy Story 5

I keep seeing people speculate that Andy will come back to play in Toy Story 5. Maybe he's married and has a kid or two and comes to visit his mom and stops at Bonnie's, who's getting older and doesn't really play with her toys anymore. He wants them back for his kid, or at least Woody, but can't fi...

Re: Inside Out 2

I thought Bloofy was a fun character, although his animation is a little choppy- which to be fair, I think is by design. The real star of the show is Pouchy. I had a lot of fun with Inside Out 2, myself. It's a worthwhile sequel to the first film, which was probably the last Pixar film I truly loved...

A hand-drawn feature from Brad Bird sounds incredible, but I couldn't support anything touched by that man ever again.

Re: Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I think that they should have made the restaurant near the ride like the one that is at Remy's adventure at Disneyland Paris. It has much sense to the audience to exit the ride and see the restaurant when they are leaving. Don't know if they have eough space for it. Last time that I went to WDW Spl...

Re: 2024 Fathom Events Big Screen Classics Announced

I'm not really a fan of Fathom's screenings, I don't think they use the best prints most of the time, but I appreciated them for showing classics before moving to a city with a couple of repertory theaters. Back in Orlando, we only had the Enzian, which is great but only has one screen and only gets...

Re: Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I like the theming of Pecos Bill, how it's nominally inspired by the tall tale but really the Melody Time segment, and I recall the food being decent for Disney quick service. However, it makes sense to brings Tiana's Palace over to MK even if it doesn't totally fit the location. I'd rather swap Tor...
