Check out Halmark...

Take a look at Halmark Channel's listings for the weekend. They often offer up a few films from the studio's 60's and 70's library. I know they just showed "Big Red" the other day. I've seen quite a few "obscure" films on Halmark. Sometimes they show recent stuff from the 90's, b...

It sounds like a lot of people are writting off some of these new iTunes releases because they are not the "actual" recordings from the movies. That's a shame, because they are all great pieces of Disney history. As revealed in the new book "Mouse Tracks: The Story of Walt Disney Reco...

"Once Upon A Mouse" was a short featurette released with Fox & The Hound in it's original theatrical release. It runs about 25 minutes and is just short clips from films, television, and theme parks. It's fun. I have it on VHS, taped off the Disney Channel years ago but I also remember...

This is the first I had heard of any this also. I find it interesting because Target's bonus disc with the CARS DVD was far more "meatier" than the Wal-Mart bouns disc. Usually Wal-Mart has the upper hand in the freebie department, but I thought the Target disc had way more relavant stuff ...

Since the master for a computer animated film is in a computer and not something commited to film, the filmmakers can go back to the film before a DVD release and reframe any scenes where characters might be on the outer portions of the frame. For instance, if Woody and Buzz are standing on opposite...

The Archives Collection Volume One is fantastic. There are some great alternative versions of some classic Disney tunes. The arrangement on Little April Showers is real swinging, so is the tune by Mary Martin. Cliff Edwards take on Singing in the Rain is a Showstopper! They really did a good job of ...

Good Stuff

My whole family watched the show tonight....me, wife, sons 2 1/2 and 4 months. We all loved it! It was very cute, and very well done. It was easy and simple for little guys to get, and it just had it's heart in the right place. The animation was good. They didn't try and render it all realistic, it'...

I've got Down and Out With Donald Duck, WDW 15th Anniversary, a bunch more....I'd have to look. What are you looking for!?

I've finally got some pictures of my collection up and running. I just did some reorganizing of them yesterday, so they are kind of divided up weird, right now. I have to cram them into a smaller space because my wife won't let me display them in the living room. I hope this link works for ya: http:...

Chicken Little was really enjoyable in my book. No, it's not as great as Snow White, Cinderella, or a bunch of the other Disney films. I thought it was their best animated film since Lilo & Stitch...so that's saying something!

None of the Platnum Editions have quite the welth of features as Snow White did.....that is probably one of the best DVDs of all time!! I thought Cinderella hit a home run with it's historical inclusions, but it also had to much goofy stuff that didn't belong like the ESPN thing and the How to be a ...

The bonus CD at WalMart is really nice. Most of the songs on it aren't originals, but they are good covers! And the CD came in it's own jewel box which sometimes the freebie stuff doesn't! Some one mentioned CC and their freebie. I tried CC very early the morning Cinderella came out for the free Pri...

I'd love to see a biopic about Walt that wasn't strictly paying homage. Check out The Hand Behind the Mouse, a doc on Ub Iwerks....it's a book or VHS (maybe DVD!?) It's really good, it was released by Disney and it actually admits to some emblishments that have been made over the years. Even though...

Chicken Little DVD - where to put on shelf?

OK.....since it seems a lot of people are into dividing their DVDs up into categories, like I do..... Where are we putting Chicken Little. Is this considered an Animated Classic? Are we putting it next to Home on the Range!? Or are you putting it in your "other" section!? I guess putting i...
