OMG! We were only at the Fair one day, so I never saw the "Hollywood" area, but the Vatican Pavilion brought back memories. I remember going to see the Pieta and how it was exhibited. And, of course, It's a Small World. My dad fell in love with IASW and insisted on buying the booklet for t...

Plus another vote for People and Places. I loved the Disneyland short.

This isn't the first time they have done this. I bought the DVD for Horse Without a Head because the box says the film is in widescreen. Only the titles are widescreen.

Well, maybe it was released around April Fool's Day, but that doesn't necessarily mean that everything announced that day or someplace thereabouts is a joke. No, they admitted it was an April Fools joke. I thought it was in very bad taste for a professional site. April Fools "jokes" have ...

Yes, it was full screen. I just got rid of mine because I got the widescreen Region 2 version.

It's really hard to pick from any of these because I would want all! :) I'm an animal lover, though, and my dearest wish would be to see sets of all the animal stories they did on the television show over the years. I have only a few that I recorded back when the Disney Channel showed REAL Disney st...

Funniest: The Ugly Dachshund - This may be a dog-lover's opinion only. :-) Especially the party. And I know it's not PC, but the Chinese man yelling "Rion! Rion!" gets me giggling every time. Also best use of Dean Jones. :-) Scariest: Return to Oz - Definitely not MGM's Oz. The electrosho...

I'd be interested to know what movies are worse than this. Knowing that might make me less likely to want to get involved in discussions like these. There is a series on American television right now that is worse than Song of the South . It's called Under One Roof . The stereotypes perpetuated in ...

I have all of the Gallegher stories, HORSE WITHOUT A HEAD, KILROY, "Run, Appaloosa, Run" and "The Horse With the Flying Tail," which I recorded off the Disney Channel (back when they showed REAL Disney programming <g>). I also have WALT DISNEY: ONE MAN'S DREAM, which I taped the ...

Re: Problem with Dr. Syn?

Maybe the original replayed that scene to remind people of the American's situation. Any ideas about this? Was the original like that? You have it. This was broadcast in three parts and the scene existed to remind the viewer about what had happened in the first part. I've always wondered why it was...

I remember Disney showing the Addie Mills stories and the half-hour specials based on "For Better or For Worse."

But most of all I miss the classic Disney stuff.

I usually don't mind minor dents, but this one is so severe that the case inside can't even move when you give it a little shake. Ugh! This is the set that I wanted to chill out w/and watch all day today. Idiot post awful again, I suppose. Were the discs damaged inside? In which case you need to co...

TCM: Disney Sunday Afternoons/Evenings in December

Just checked the TCM schedule for December and it looks as if they are having a "Disney film festival" each Sunday afternoon/evening. Also included is "The Age of Believing," a new (?) documentary on the Disney live-action features. Has this documentary been broadcast before? The...
