Funniest/Scariest/Saddest/Favorite?
This is a running survey on many different forums I visit, even non-Disney ones.
Post the Disney movie you think is the funniest, scariest, saddest, and your favorite, and give a reason for why you put each into the category. I'll post mine later.

Funniest - Aladdin with the reason being Robin Williams
Scariest - Disney doesn't really scare me.
Saddest - Dumbo, mostly because of the "Baby Mine" sequence.
My Favorite Disney movie is Dumbo because it's short and sweet and to the point.

Walmart: the perfect place to shop for a headache at a discount price.
Funniest: The Emperor's New Groove. This has got to be one of the most quotable movies I've seen in my life, Disney or otherwise.
Scariest: Pinocchio. It's not something people think of as scary, but the villains and the situations Pinocchio himself in put in are quite dark.
Saddest: Dumbo. The "Baby Mine" sequence. Enough said.
Favorite: Alice in Wonderland. For me, Disney is about imagination and fantasy, and I think this film exemplifies those things moreso than anything else they've done.

Funniest - "The Emperor's New Groove" the quotes and the voice actors in this movie are just hilarious.
Scariest - "Hocus Pocus" when I was younger this movie scared me because of the witches and the frankenstein man.
Saddest - "Beauty and the Beast" I'm a sucker for love, this is a perfect love story with a very sad ending. Closely followed by "Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch" because of the same reason, the ending gets me going.
Favorite - "Beauty and the Beast" perfect love story, great music, great story, full of magic <3

Funniest - "The Emperor's New Groove". Although I'm sad about what happened to Aller's original version "Kingdom of the Sun"... this 'hip' version is hilarious and always cracks me up!
Scariest - "Make Mine Music" - When Willie the Whale is harpooned - this moment is terrifying to me (and sad!)
Saddest - "The Fox and the Hound" - the way that Tod and Copper's friendship is torn apart is sad because a similar thing happened to me!
Favorite - I really like "The Emperor's New Groove". However, it's too hard to choose a Disney favorite, being as such a vast majority of the DACs are so good. It's easy to point out what I don't like - "Saludos Amigos" and "Chicken Little" are two I particularly don't care for.

Funniest: The Emperor's New Groove (2000) - it seems almost a stock answer now as it's one of the few from the animated canon that was intentionally made to be a comedy. A few jokes really don't hold up anymore for me, and Kronk has become somewhat of an annoyance, but there's still a lot about the film that I enjoy, especially everything in Mudka's Meat Hut.
Scariest: Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983) & Pinocchio (1940) - there's such a chilling atmosphere to both films that one can overlook the uneven storytelling and the not-nearly-as-developed-as-they-could-be characters. Both are lessons in how to thrill and scare your audience without resorting to shocking and titillating them. You are genuinely surprised and terrified throughout the films, rather than cackling and laughing at the intended-horror-turned-unintended-comedy.
Saddest: Old Yeller (1957) - ironically, I don't like dogs in real life. But this film just is so heart-tugging and emotional that you can't help but feel for Travis when he knows what he has to do. I also agree with Disneykid, Dumbo definitely is the saddest simply because of the always-makes-me-weepy "Baby Mine".
Favourite: Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), and The Rocketeer (1991) - I'd probably spend too much time discussing why they're my favourites, so I'll save everyone the time and just say they're my favourites.
I'll also add a couple more categories:
Most Heartwarming: So Dear To My Heart (1948 ) - a lot of Disney films make you feel good when it reaches the conclusion, but this one really makes you warm and fuzzy. It really captures the ideal and peaceful Americana that Walt intended. It's the ultimate feelgood film from Disney.
Strangest: The Boatniks (1970) - Up until 2005 I had never heard of this film. But then it was announced as one of the August 2005 catalogue DVD releases, and Luke churned out a top-notch review that was able to point out the film's many faults in a tasteful way. I actually bought the DVD because of Luke's review (plus, they played it on the TVs at Once Upon A Toy and I wanted to watch the rest). And it's just...an oddball in the Disney live-action catalogue. It's so ridiculous and stupid, I have to wonder why the hell the studio made it. It's not funny, it's not memorable, and its plot is not even that interesting. It's like a lesson in how not to make a film.
Most Exciting: Peter Pan (1953) & Swiss Family Robinson (1960) - Peter Pan is my favourite from the 1950s DACs because it's just a fun and exciting romp. And Swiss Family Robinson is probably my favourite of the Walt-Era live-action films and like Peter Pan is a fun and exciting romp. Both are really the ultimate fantasies for any child: to end up on an island paradise where you can have all the fun you want and sleep in trees.
Wish Was Longer: Johnny Tremain (1957) - it's essentially a two-part "Disneyland" miniseries-turned-theatrical-film based on a popular children's historical fiction novel, so I wouldn't expect it to be any longer. But it really could have been cool if it were a three-part "Disneyland" miniseries-turned-theatrical-film.
Slowest Pace: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) - the longest film in the trilogy and even with the quick cuts during fight scenes and impressive effects, it really could have been tightened up a lot more. Honorable mention also goes to The Happiest Millionaire which is a highly-enjoyable musical but it just drags and drags.
Best Use of Dean Jones: Blackbeard's Ghost (1968 ) - hehehe. Dean Jones is a Disney legend and yet to most people born after 1990 he is just a random name like Bob Smith or George Anderson. I think this is my favourite of his Mouse House films, even if it's really more Peter Ustinov's than his.
Least Favorite: The Lion King (1994) - if you have to ask, it does not matter anymore.

My funniest, scariest, saddest, and favorite Disney film
Funniest: „Alice in Wonderland“, is for me in every way the most funniest film. Could it be that the reason is that I meet in real life often such curious situations?
Scariest: „Pinocchio“, the scene of the transformation from children into donkeys on Pleasure Island.
Saddest: „Dream on silly dreamer“, on March, the 25th 2002 two hundred Disney artists are been told that their services no longer needed by the company. This sad thing happened in Feature Animation Department in Burbank in real world!
Favorites: „Beauty and the Beast“, this film is perfect!
I love all films from Disney. Every film has its special moments of fun, scare, sad things, and things I love.

Funniest- The Emperor's New Groove
It's one of the few films I can never get tired of. When I've had a long day, I like to pop this one in. If we included Pixar, then I would add Monsters, INC.
Scariest- The Lion King
From the stampede that killed Mufasa to the character of Scar himself... I still can't watch that movie in a dark room by myself. Scar is so devilish.
Saddest- The Fox and the Hound
Can't watch this movie without crying during the part where Todd is left in the forest.
Favorite- The Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins
Did I really need to even type that? I mean, I'm UmbrellaFish

...and the Pink Elephant goes to...
Funniest :
The Emperor's New Groove
The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh - this film has a classic type of humour, one that will endure the ages.
Meet The Robinsons
Scariest:
Bambi - the hunting scene is absolutely horrifying
The Black Cauldron
Fantasia
The Fox and the Hound*
Saddest:
The Lion King
Bambi
Chicken Little - poor film gets bullied as if nobody got the message of the film.
Favourite:
Sleeping Beauty - animation at its best.
Beauty and the Beast
Lady and the Tramp
Meet the Robinsons
(*pitting two best friends together to a fight to the death is probably one of the darkest ideas disney has ever put in their films. Were the 70s and 80s called the dark ages because of the set back in quality or because of the dark themes incorporated into the films?)

Remember to elaborate on your choices, or this may go in the Polls and Games section.
Funniest - As with most people's answers...The Emperor's New Groove. Disney isn't really about the comedy for me, and though I don't think this is genuinely that funny, it amuses me the most out of Disney's films.
Scariest - Pinocchio, if only for that boy changing into a donkey scene, and Monstro.
Saddest - The Fox and the Hound, because of the friendship-turned-hatred between Tod and Copper, and how they saved each other in the end, even though they knew they were not meant to be best friends anymore. Also, when the old lady (forget her name...) leaves Tod in the forest by himself, I tear up. I know TFatH is generally disliked, but I love it and place it in my Top 5 DAC list!
Favorite - Big surprise, Peter Pan! I have listed my reasons numerous amounts of time, so I won't go into detail.

Funniest: The Emperor's New Groove (2000)
Scariest: Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983)
Saddest: The Fox and the Hound (1981): The part where Widow Tweed puts Tod in the forest is horribly depressing and since this film is only good at either being dull and boring or miserably depressing it isn't exactly a favorite of mine.
Favourite: Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971), Sleeping Beauty (1959), and The Happiest Millionaire (1967)
Most Heartwarming: Pollyanna (1960)
Least Favorite: The Lion King (1994), Fox and the Hound (1981), and way to many others. Disney is capable of making duds too.
Most Underrated Animated: The Great Mouse Detective (1986)
Most Underrated Live-Action: Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983), The Sword and the Rose (1953)

Funniest: Probably Emperor's New Groove for me. I love David Spade and Eartha Kitt in this.
Scariest: The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Frollo freaks me out.
Saddest: Bambi. Dumbo at least gets to be reunited with his mother.
Favorite: Don't know if I can pick a favorite, but The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Lady and the Tramp all have to rank right up there. Hell, I could list several more!

Re: Funniest/Scariest/Saddest/Favorite?
Scariest - Sleeping Beauty, unquestionably. It has the best build-up, the best use of mystery and suspense, the eyes are SO creepy here, and Maleficent is the creepiest Disney villain ever. The power of suggestion here is unforgettable.
Saddest - Dumbo, probably. Because of how well the film portrayed the bitter and vindictive treatment Dumbo and his mother got. The cruelty.
Funniest - I think Mary Poppins got the most laughs out of me. It was amusingly wacky. But I also laugh at Donald Duck quite a bit. He was funniest in Fun and Fancy Free.
My Favorite - either Sleeping Beauty or The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Impossible to explain.

Funniest: The Emperor's New Groove - The unusual fourth wall breaking humor was amusing.
Scariest: I have never really been scared by a Disney movie, but I would probably go with Sleeping Beauty.
Saddest: No comment.
Favorite: Either One Hundred and One Dalmatians or Aladdin
Least Favorite: Alice in Wonderland or Cinderella - They just don't appeal to me.

Funniest: Aladdin - Mostly because of the Genie but the works so well in the film.
Scariest: Pinocchio - For the Dark Atmosphere and the situations the characters find themselves in. I don't think any scene in particular is scary.
Saddest: Bambi - Despite me hating the movie, Bambi's mother dying was pretty sad.
Favorite: Aladdin/Pinocchio - The music in Aladdin and the atmosphere in Pinocchio is what make these my favorites.
Least Favorite: Bambi, Dumbo - I dislike both these movies as I find them boring.

Funniest: Robin Hood
And only in the Dutch dub! You read it correctly: funnier when not viewed in its original language! Rare, but true. The Dutch voice cast has done a superb job. Of course, they couldn't have made it funny if the film wasn't funny to begin with, so kudos for that to the Disney Company. I can't believe I'm the first to mention it. Childish dictator Prince John, slimy Sir Hiss, "Phony king of England", Skippy and Lady Cluck etc.; they're all funnier than anything I've ever seen in a Disney movie.

Scariest: The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Not because it actully scares me, but I can imagine some parts would scare the crap out of the kiddies. Besides, it's undoubtly the darkest, most serious animated movie Disney has ever made. Judge Frollo is the scariest villain of all time, even scarier than witches like Malificent, because he's *real*. He's the only realistic Disney villain, because people like him are around everywhere in this sad, dark world.
Saddest: The Fox and the Hound
I hate to say it, since this answer has been given so many times times already. Plus, I really don't like this movie. But I mus acknowledge it's the saddest. Would you believe I never felt a thing when Bambi's mother died? Babmi's father was so ridiculous I always had to laugh out loud.
Favorite: Either The Rescuers or The Little Mermaid.
The differences between the two are so enormous (in animation, story, characters, pace etc.), but they're both films of real high quality. TLM achieves this quality through the lush animation, the grandeur, the spectacle; Rescuers through a lack of all that. Its charm comes from its simple form, which allows the film to concentrate on the story and characters.
Most heart-warming: Mary Poppins
Easily! The film always brings out the child in me. I like to say: if this movie doesn't touch you, you must have a heart of stone. It's a celebration of fantasy, innocence, and all that's good in the world. No moment of cynicism, everything is all-right in Mary Poppin's world. The characters are all very likable and the chemistry between Andrews and Van Dyke has never been matched --in any film, as far as I'm concerned.
Most underrated: Either The Rescuers or The Great Mose Detective
They don't get the respect they deserve. The latter one is also a rare exception in which in prefer the Dutch dub. But it's an entertaining film, very different from most of Disney's output. It differs greatly from all the subsequent musicals Disney would put out. It's darker, more mature (nightclub scene) and one of the rare films in which pure adventure gets a role, banning out all romance, which is nice for a change. Oh, and I ador Mancini's music!
