yeah the Target bonus disc practically makes the set a 2-disc special edition. Any news of a double dip anytime soon? one that would feature the Giselle animation acting test and the deleted song "Enchanted"?

well it's not really Disney's fault that practically most of the disney princesses are motherless, just go back to the original tales. as for the others, Pocahontas i have no clue, I'm guessing it's something historical that her mother really was dead by that time. I guess it's really just some gran...

Just as (no matter how much some may want it) a Star Wars was never Best Picture contender, neither will a film like Beauty and the Beast. you do realize, Star Wars was indeed nominated for Best Picture. Besides, winning Best Picture isn't really all that important, it's the getting nominated part ...

Re: Disney's Enchanted

The Bad: But Giselle was a little too naive and I think even Snow White knew a little more than her. But she is supposed to represent every princess for the average non-UD viewer, and her lack of anger or other things that made her more "real" was really like syaing the princesses of olde...

Well this is going to be a spoiler of my favorite disney reference... I loved how right before Robert kisses Giselle he says to her something along the lines of, "please don't leave me" which is what Belle says to the beast right before he turns into a man in Beauty and the Beast. I've se...

yeah I believe the disney world would be a very different place had Katzenberg actually received Wells' job.

that also means that Prince of Egypt, Sinbad, Spirit, El Dorado and even the Shrek movies would be Disney films.

Great movie! Its a shame that they didn't include a couple of scenes that were in the previews. I was waiting for the scene where the bus driver chases the prince after stabbing the roof of her bus. The other is the prince in the revolving door and he said "What villany is this!?" I know ...

the irony in all this is that Pixar vowed to stay away from the traditional "princess" style of storytelling when they first started making features.

random disney references. in the scene where Giselle is looking at the aquarium, you can hear "Part of Your World" being played subtley in the background (the secretary is also Jodi Benson, Ariel's voice) the soap opera that Nathaniel was watching starred Paige O'Hara, Belle's voice (and i...

1 The Incredibles - I loved every bit of this movie and it really took the medium to great new heights. 2 Finding Nemo - It stirs the imagination quite wonderfully and it looks absolutely beautiful, plus the story is something that'll last for generations 3 Ratatouille - This film spoke to me, it is...

those complaining about the animation....the animation is amazing!...it's the character design that's a bit off. design and animation aren't exactly the same thing

to me good animation is when it captures movement very smoothly and gets the idea across very naturally (like Disney's which has come to set the bar for such, hence the term, 'Disney-Quality Animation') while bad animation would be the absence of any real movement (like practically every Television...

i dunno, to me, when one thinks of quality regarding animation, it all depends on how much movement is illustrated. Since the word animation would pretty much describe the movement. to me good animation is when it captures movement very smoothly and gets the idea across very naturally (like Disney's...

renaissance number 2

a new renaissance all depends on how good "The Frog Princess" is. And if WDFA can manage to get enough great artists as it once had during the late 80's, then maybe, just maybe, we might be in for a 4th Golden Age of Disney animation. granted of course that Pixar doesn;t try to meddle with...

well i'm not really saying that it was officially hidden, i was thinking that maybe it was jsut a little suprise hiddden by the background designer or something, great analysis by the way, Disney Duster.

although it would be mighty cute if it turns out that Eric was related to Aurora and Phillip

Aurora and Philip cameo in "the Little Mermaid"?

I was watching the Little Mermaid today and I noticed, in the dinner scene, that there is a portrait in Eric's palace of who looks a lot like Princess Aurora and Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty....

Could the second doll be Idina Menzel? It doesn't look anything like the Giselle doll above it, and why would real Giselle look different from animated Giselle? if you look behind the doll the words "fair-" is written...yeah I believe it's Idina's character....who might be a fairy god mot...
