Unfortunately, I never warmed up to EFLA. It had a huge budget as compared to EFNY, but the story was blah... Once they introduced the bad guy as, "Cuervo Jones," I started losing interest.

His commentary with Roddy Piper on the They Live DVD was worth every penny I paid for it... It had me rolling in stitches during most of it.

That's a great story. I recently went to an art exhibit of Ralph Bakshi's oil paitings and he very nicely signed my LD copy of Wizards.
Maerj wrote:You probably have the LD of Escape from NY...is the DVD commentary with Kurt Russel and John Carpenter the same one from the LD or is it new?
No, sadly I never owned EFNY on LD. It is my understanding that the commentary on this new DVD is ported over from the LD. However, a new commentary track was made by producer Debra Hill and production designer Joe Alves specifically for this SE DVD.
