I love Alice in Wonderland, mainly for the reason that you don't like it... LOL....indianajdp wrote:Not only am I NOT excited, I'm still not sure if I'll even be picking this one up. I've never really liked this one...kinda reminds me of some really twsited early Pink Floyd songs that make you feel like you're on drugs or something trying to follow them.
Then again, I absolutely love Pink Floyd (The Wall and just about everything afterwards) so maybe I can learn to love Alice, too ....

I agree Alice in Wonderland is a weak Disney film.
But I still think it worth buying.
I agree with the orgianal story is better.

Re: Nope
This is pretty much how I feel.JimmyJackJunior wrote:Already own it from the Gold Collection.
Extras are not going to make it worth it.
However, if I did not already own it I would buy it in a snap.
Fantastic movie.
While I have re-bought some DVDs, it has been in the face of overwhelming extra features (e.g. Bug's Life barebones upgrade). Now there is a bunch of "new" stuff on this DVD, but I have a kind of self-imposed "no rebuys" policy unless there is something REALLY special coming out.
Having said that, it does look like a good set if one does not have any version of Alice. And the Alice Comedies are a nice incentive (I may cave in the future if a local copy is released).
Besides, my Gold Collection equivalent (they are not named as such here) was a gift from my significant other, and I see no reason to replace it.
I just wish Disney would look at getting the unreleased DVDs out there, instead of spending all this time re-releasing stuff (all of the March titles, Alice etc.)

Personally, this is one of the most significant classic Disney feature releases to date. Alice In Wonderland was actually the very first dvd I'd ever purchased but I sold it in a flash when Luke dropped word of the Special Edition. I'm surprised there are so many people who don't appreciate this film, this is Disney's crowning achievement for me.

I'm really excited for Alice In Wonderland and will get it once Amazon ships it out. I found that pocahontas and Lilo and Stich are comming out May 2004 and Mary Poppins later in 2004.Luke wrote:Lost? Aladdin is THE best disney cartoon!
Too bad. I wish they did something. Since they are not offering anything, I have no incentive to buy from Disney Stores directly. BestBuy or CircuitCity for $14.99, first week or so will dojasmine-rules wrote:You can pre-order alice at disneystore.com, but no free lithos![]()

That's exactly what I was thinking

I'm not that big a fan of the free T-shirt for lion king 1 1/2. At my local toys r us, if you pre-order the dvd, then you get a free lion king beanie

Same with me, but you can just pre-order it at the disney store, unless you don't have one. Thats what I do, only if its a good dealgoofystitch wrote:I only ever pre-order from disneystore.com if they are offering lithographs and a pin. Otherwise, I'm not waiting for the mail to come to watch my dvd. I'll pick it up on my way home from school!

...

The Snow White deal was great at the Disney Store two years ago. Not only did you get 4 lithographs in a nice, displayable portfolio, you also got a pin with the seven dwarfs AND one of the Limited Issue DVD's (all for free!)! Why not do that again?
