Then again, I absolutely love Pink Floyd (The Wall and just about everything afterwards) so maybe I can learn to love Alice, too ....
I love Alice in Wonderland, mainly for the reason that you don't like it... LOL.... :D I have always liked crazy mixed up complex storielines. I don't know why though, I've never touched a drug yet so far and i'm 23.

Welcome to the forum JaYDiSNeY. :D

I agree Alice in Wonderland is a weak Disney film.
But I still think it worth buying.
I agree with the orgianal story is better. :float: rotfl

I want it NOW! Preferably if it had been the week of January 4-10, (since my birthday is on the 9th), but I'll settle for an unbirthday gift...

Extras are not going to make it worth it.

However, if I did not already own it I would buy it in a snap.

Fantastic movie.
This is pretty much how I feel.
While I have re-bought some DVDs, it has been in the face of overwhelming extra features (e.g. Bug's Life barebones upgrade). Now there is a bunch of "new" stuff on this DVD, but I have a kind of self-imposed "no rebuys" policy unless there is something REALLY special coming out.
Having said that, it does look like a good set if one does not have any version of Alice. And the Alice Comedies are a nice incentive (I may cave in the future if a local copy is released).
Besides, my Gold Collection equivalent (they are not named as such here) was a gift from my significant other, and I see no reason to replace it.
I just wish Disney would look at getting the unreleased DVDs out there, instead of spending all this time re-releasing stuff (all of the March titles, Alice etc.)

Personally, this is one of the most significant classic Disney feature releases to date. Alice In Wonderland was actually the very first dvd I'd ever purchased but I sold it in a flash when Luke dropped word of the Special Edition. I'm surprised there are so many people who don't appreciate this film, this is Disney's crowning achievement for me.

Well I am looking foward to this dvd, even though the movie is not really one of my favorites. Also, I agree with MickeyMousePal, I hope they make a Mulan Masterpiece Edition! I finally saw the movie and I really like it! :)

Lost? Check out the Upcoming Release List.
I'm really excited for Alice In Wonderland and will get it once Amazon ships it out. I found that pocahontas and Lilo and Stich are comming out May 2004 and Mary Poppins later in 2004.

Too bad. I wish they did something. Since they are not offering anything, I have no incentive to buy from Disney Stores directly. BestBuy or CircuitCity for $14.99, first week or so will do

That's exactly what I was thinking :D

I'm not that big a fan of the free T-shirt for lion king 1 1/2. At my local toys r us, if you pre-order the dvd, then you get a free lion king beanie :D

I only ever pre-order from disneystore.com if they are offering lithographs and a pin. Otherwise, I'm not waiting for the mail to come to watch my dvd. I'll pick it up on my way home from school!

 WHAT! NO NIFTY LITHOGRAPHS?!!

... ... now kram has no nice pictures to look at while anticipating Jan 24th...

The Snow White deal was great at the Disney Store two years ago. Not only did you get 4 lithographs in a nice, displayable portfolio, you also got a pin with the seven dwarfs AND one of the Limited Issue DVD's (all for free!)! Why not do that again?

Disney is trying to save money. Think of the billions and millions of people who would preorder that would be a lot of money. I could care less about the pins but the litho graphs. THOSE ARE TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

Slightly off-topic: I would kill for a black-light poster of the caterpillar from Alice to hang in my room.
