I don't think Bush is an extremely good president, but he stood strong against terrorists. Kerry wouldn't be as strong as he did, IMHO. And my, Kerry looks U-G-L-Y!

Humm. Well Bush has spoken on his intent for the next 4 years, and intends to have a "lot of fun" doing it.

So he's going to continue with Tax Cuts, even though you are fighting a "non-ending" War on a concept. I'm sure that will help the deficit. He's going to continue to put unilateral (or almost unilateral) military pressure on rogue states (I'm sure that will help the non-draft). I He's going to continue to ignore the environment. He's going to semi-privatise social security (while still taking money out of the pot to fund his own tax cuts). You've voted for even more privacy abuses, and even more human rights abuses (out of all the "terrorists" locked up for an "indefinite period" how many actually have been charged? How many actually have enough evidence against them to be charged? - None).

Oh what's that? You all voted for moral reasons? All you care about is gay marriages (which lets face it, weren't "real" religious marriages anyway. No Roman Catholic priest would hold such a service, no matter what the State ruled, and the Anglian Church is still arguing about Gay Bishops, let alone marrying them! It was only about simply human rights and equality) and abortion (Killing unformed unborn babies is bad because God says so, but killing 100,000 women and children is good, becasue God told President Bush to do it). Well, don't expect most of that stuff to be passed. If they did, what could they use to campaign on and hide the real issues from the public in the next election?

So it looks like most people have voted themselves out of money, out of healthcare and most possibly out of a job. Unless of course you happen to earn over $200,000 or so a year.

There has been a great deal of talk about the difference between the Exit Poll and the Machine Tally.

I think it speaks for itself, but as you can see - the gap between the exit poll and the machine tally is WAAAAAAAAY higher (and swung towards Bush) where electronic voting is used.

Look at the difference in the hotly contested state of Ohio. And New Hampshire!!!!

So, Instead of winning by 136,000, Bush should have won by 133,000 votes in Ohio.

And instead of winning the popular vote by 3,510,358 votes, he only won by 3,506,465.

I'm just glad I get to see people like P Diddy, Rosey O'Donnell, Michael Moore, Bruce Springstein and all those other loser squirm. No one's stopping them from going to Canada.

We can only hope Bush pushes the Conservative agenda and doesn't give in to the ACLU and liberal wackos.

Locally for me, one of the largest employers, Armstrong, just eliminated over 450 jobs yesterday. I wonder how many of them chose Bush? Well, people are getting what they deserve. They wanted more of the same and they are getting it. Soon everyone will be getting minimum wage jobs...or if your lucky maybe you can get a job at Wal-Mart.

At this point it might be better if the West Coast and North East break off and become America 2. We'll let Mr. Kerry lead and then we'll see which America does better.

I don't earn over $200,000 a year, but I have health care, a job for as long as I want it and a degree in secondary education in case I get tired of my current job. Life is good and I pay less taxes then I did under Clinton and can't wait for more tax cuts in the future.

I guess if you push a button on an assembly line, you better start looking for a new job. Why do you think American cars are so expensive, because they pay union workers high wages to do something that a teenager could do with no education.

As for America 2... I've been to major cities on the coasts and I'll take my rural America anyday!!

I'm glad things are going well for you out in Kansas but things aren't all so nice in the rest of the country.

As far as the assembly line jobs thing goes, I think that is totally unacceptable. How can you look at it and just say "you better start looking for another job?" That's kind of being cold about it. The reason why people need high paying jobs is because of the cost of living. I don't know how much it costs to live where you are, but its pretty high here. Minimum wage doesn't cut it.

Just as a side note here for you as well, its not only assembly line jobs we're losing. It's all kinds of jobs, not just the blue collar workers but the white collar jobs as well.

So, I don't know what kind of job you have but I am glad that you have it. But unless your family runs it or you own it, it may not be as safe as you think.

Have you actually looked and read about the budget deficit? These are seriously scary numbers and it will not make itself right by magic. You say you are from a rural area. Does that mean you know lots of farmers or farm related businesses? Well, you can probably see their subsidiaries being considerably lower over the next decade or so (the deficit will result in less spending).

America's only getting the money by foreign countries investing in American dollars. But in order to get investment in your currency, you have to provide a return. Keep printing money and you devalue it, and you have no return. It's like Disney's Platinum editions. If Snow White was still freely available, it wouldn't be selling for the $50 plus on Ebay. It’s the same with dollars. They are loosing value, as when more are needed, more are made (a simplification, but generally true). The only way to continue to get outside investment in dollars is for interest rates to raise – the increased return entices investment. (It doesn't have to go this way, but it seems likely. I doubt that deficit is going to disappear simply by increased production).

So minor tax cuts for the average American won't mean diddly-squat in interest rates bloom. What is given on one hand is taken on the other.

As for the famous trickle-down theory, do you really think that happens? What happens? People with extra money invest in companies, but it generally doesn't create more jobs. It just creates more money for the shareholders. If the trickle-down theory worked companies would be spending their increased income on jobs, not outsourcing.

You know, it could be said I'm in considerable financial problems with a high credit card bill. But I know the solution is not to get another card and shuffle the debt about, while making it bigger at the same time. I have to take responsibility for my spending or income shortfall. And so should the American government. Again, as with lots of things, you get the impression the current administration don't want to take any responsibility at all. Just like apparently you don't want to take any financial responsibility for fighting a war with an aim to make you safer.

Thanks for the Economic and Politcs lessons. Luckily, I have a college degree in both Economics and Political Science, so I think I have a grasp on the two issues.

Yes, I live in rural America, but No I don't live on a farm or no anyone that does. Throughout the history of America, people have lost their jobs, but at 5% unemployment, I dare say there is a problem. People have to learn to adapt and adjust, as they have over the last 200 years in America. If you can no longer push a button on an assembly line and make $20/hour becasue a computer now does that for a fraction of the cost, then learn how to work on the computer that replaced you and make $40/hour. You may have missed the news of over 1/3 million new jobs were created last month alone in the U.S.

I don't that think I'm going to take my American dollars and cash them in for gold anytime soon, because I think the American dollar is going down the tubes.

Last time I looked Immigration into the United States is by far higher then any other country and probably higher then every other country combined. Europe can bash and bad-mouth the U.S. all they want; and sadly enough will still be there to bail you out (i.e. WWI, WWII)

But as I said I just think that Bush is one of the best Presidents, and he is very Godlike he respects other beliefs, and he also gave President Hinckley the Medal Of Freedom Award, and He is the President Of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and I am a member of that religion. So that is one of the main reason. And you Catholics should be happy with him also. Since he gave the Pope John Paul the award also.
