Yeah i guess i already read the quote with the wedding taking place  , but sometimes a "Wedding" is not the same thing as a "marriage". A Wedding doesnt just consist from the "I do" section, i assume there might be a long wedding day playing before that. :goofy: There are Literally countless movies with the infamous last minute reconsideration thing on the aisle, I just know theres gonna be an Interruption and the Wedding is put on ice. Pun intended. The Wedding dolls are definetly gonna be made for 3 but we will see how long it will take them to say "i do". Aladdin 3 reloaded.

What i think is interesting is that they would be kinda recycling this idea with the earlier Frozen draft with Annas wedding getting Interrupted as Evil Elsa and her Snowmen were kidnapping her. I think either Hans and his solider are invading Arendelle for revenge or something mysthical happens with Elsa again like in 2, Anna is worried about her as always and Interrupts it herself to find peace before the wedding or smth idk
PatchofBlue wrote: โ†‘Sun Sep 14, 2025 12:04 pm I agree it would be really neat to see a Disney movie where a wedding was part of Act I, not the culminating event.
I will take anything. A married couple from the beginning. Parents as protagonists, ANYTHING aside from the worn out insecure teen formula we have to deal with for years. Zootopia Was a great step (but again, animals) and the movies has also be good so Strange World doesn't count. :P
I always have to think of that Grimm Tale The Fisherman and his wife, its like Aladdin but with midlife crises and more greed thrown in which would be interesting to see from WDAS. :) Maybe im taking that to heart because im not a teen myself anymore since a few months but meh. Aging happens i guess.
The last time (or only time) we got protagonists as a married couple in Act 1 was with 101 Dalmatians almost 100 years ago and it was quite charming to see how their bonded life played out.

Marc Smith is no longer the co-director on the film. Trent Correy is. I still don't understand why Chris Buck isn't co-directing this one.
โ€œFrozen 3โ€ is set for release over Thanksgiving 2027, with Lee โ€” co-director and co-writer of the first two films โ€” returning to direct alongside Trent Correy, who co-wrote and co-directed Disneyโ€™s well-received 2023 short film โ€œOnce Upon a Studio,โ€ a separate individual with knowledge told TheWrap. Producer Peter Del Vecho, who has been with the franchise since the original film, is also returning, as are the songwriting duo of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the individual said.

Too bad it isn't next year, at least Wicked: For Good is a decent musical this year to tide me over. But I guess where they're making a cliffhanger-type of ending here with a follow-up the next year Spider-verse/Wicked-style, it's probably best to build up the wait now.

I read something about the main actors getting around 60 million on top of bonuses depending how the films perform (my guess is close to a billion each, who really knows though). Very happy for them!

Dissapointing and a mess. Especially since Smith was the one pitching and basically birthing the whole idea of the 3rd/4th installment. Not that excited either for Someone who created the fanservice short to direct this one... atleast they still have over 2 years left to get this right.. baby!๐ŸŽถ :P

I don't think it's crazy or unreasonable at all for them to get paid that much. Those three are critical to the franchise and the company will likely make anywhere up to 2.5 billion off 3 and 4 combined, not to mention how many continued millions in merchandise and soundtrack sales that'll be strengthened by two more entries in the franchise. I wonder how much their bonuses that are dependent on the film performances amount to--60 million feels like chump change compared to what Disney'll rake in.

My cousin attends the School of Digital Arts at Wichita State University and she said Chris Buck and his son showed up back in November and Chris spent the day talking about his career as an animator and director. And then he taught an animation class. Apparently heโ€™s been traveling the US for the past year (after finishing Wish) teaching animation classes at colleges. And his son is recording and filming it for some documentary. So now we know why heโ€™s not returning to direct Frozen 3 with Jennifer Lee. Someone asked him if he was going to be a part of Frozen 3 and he said while heโ€™s not directing it, he will often get calls from Jenn or the team and they run ideas around togetherโ€ฆ so his input is still a part of Frozen 3.

Did a double take. I thought for a moment that Olaf was flipping me off.

Hoping we get a few more teases coming before too long. It's crazy to think we're less than two years away.

I definitely hope so. I know "Let it Go" was performed for the first time with about the same ETA ahead of the first Frozen. I think they'd have something ready by then. I think it all just comes down to their present business practices and whether or not that fits in with their current vision.

I can only imagine it'd do a lot to earn favor with the fans though. Even like that small clip of "Let it Go" that The Rotoscopers recreated for the masses did a lot to invite a certain mystique to the project for Disney lovers. We OBSESSED over that half-of-a-chorus for like a good year.

Then again, the internet was a much different place, even as recently as 2012.

Ugh! It just kills me that there are people in this world who see the whole picture for this movie, and here we are stuck on the ground just speculating for another year and a half.

I've had some cause these last few weeks to reflect back on the timeframe leading up to the first Frozen movie--way before anyone knew what it'd become. And I just remember how everyone in the fandom was just dying for Disney to drop a bit of concept art or something. I remember the leaked concept footage reel, the Japanese trailer, all those things we had to wrestle from Disney's grip. At the time, we all thought Disney was just being stingy. Now we see more fully that the movie had such a turbulent production that they were just tossing things out and dropping things in like crazy. They didn't really have much to show off until a couple of months before the movie dropped. (And then there was the discordant marketing campaign, which ...)

I hope that the filmmaking team is able to do everything they need to do without so much of the stress. And if they want to let us in on the process at all, (Dare I hope for some kind of teaser this Thanksgiving?) I wouldn't say no.

GAGGING at the new outfits! Not really dissapointing but i was expecting something more epic and dark fantasy esque like Got or smth, especially since they seem to meet the Odin in F3 ig, so i hoped they would revisit those beautiful grey white armor like outfits for Elsa and free her from that blue color palette :P the pink looks kinda silly BUT i love the earrings that help making both look more mature :) CANT WAIT FOR THE TRASER TOMOTROW

I like their new outfits too, overall. Not terribly original for the characters, but aesthetically pleasing enough. They could have gone with a little more daring and bold approach to their looks this time around. This feels more of the same. In any case, I don't mind the pink on Anna. I like the addition of the earrings too. I also like Elsa's cape though I'd prefer it without the hood. I also like Anna's new hairstyle. It's too bad Elsa didn't get a new hairdo as well. It seems strange Elsa's new look doesn't really reflect her spirit persona. It makes it seem like Anna is progressing as a character whereas Elsa is regressing.

Good point! It really does look like pre Show yourself Elsa, which is why i would have welcomed a regal grey/white or her open hair, (but i would have loved a hairstyle similar to the dark sea sequence) I didnt notice Annas new hairdo omg and im really happy they found smth to make her character look new again :D . Im not a fan of having characters wear the same hairstyle in franshises over again, which is why i loved Annas new look in Frozen 2 too!

It looks like they revisited these concept arts for both Annas hair and outfit from Frozen 2. I love the hair, it fits her Queen image really well, which makes it more dissapoining they didnt explore a more mature color palette like grey or dark green for her outfit. I can try to accept the silly pink, as now that it looks like the movies setting is spring with the florals in her and Kristoff, Olaf and Svens outfits. Pretty sure Elsas look is also a scrapped F2 travel outfit design as it looks quite familiar.

To be honest, I like Elsa`s new outfit, despite how it`s not as distinctive as her previous outfits. But frankly Anna`s outfit is a little bit too much, as she looks too pink and too overdone. And she certainly looks more mature now.

Elsa returning to the braid seems kinda like regression to me, but it's not a dealbreaker in my book.

It's actually kind of interesting how few princesses actually have "pink" as their signature color. Aurora, I guess, but that dress is blue for the vast majority of the movie. And Ariel is only occasionally featured in her pink gown. Anna's actually in a small class.

Here's hoping someone will get to hear a song today!
