Nice to know you like it so far, Vlad! I agree, Gal going down the stairs is great, so is Rachel's singing Broadway-like great, and it's so great they are keeping the creepy forest scene! And did you catch, you were right about the scullery maid costume!:

A friend of mine sent me these pics on Facebook. I don't know if they're real, but if they are, that is the ugliest costume I have ever seen. I think it's maybe her scullery maid costume, but it's awful. Cinderella's was much, much better.

In the pictures, it looks really bad, but in the trailer, she looks beautiful.

What if he did? He did a good Job reflecting people's opinión about the trailer in different countries. The trailer is not beeing well received, we all know that this movie is going to be controversial because so many things.

Sighhh. I thought some of you guys would be pleased when the trailer dropped given that the tone and look is what people have wanted from these reimaginings — a lush, fairy tale musical that aesthetically resembles the animated movie it’s based on, but I guess you really can’t please everyone.

Watching the trailer I’d say Rachel is the least of this film’s problems. Snow White should have been something you just don’t touch. It should have been sacred.

It looks like a complete car crash of a movie.

What conflicts with the character is that Rachel is the epitome of Gen Z's entitlement, narcissism and ignorance. She's basically the complete opposite of the original character and that takes me out of the whole thing. It has nothing to do with her skin color, which is not as dark as people claim it is. When both Gal and Rachel are seen together, they more or less have the same skin tone.

The costumes look funny. Since Cinderella’s blue dress, the costumes are steadily going downhill.They probably won’t mess Moana, but I wonder how they will do with Frozen and Tangled.

I know Rachel is universally disliked and all the attention and negative buzz is centered around her, but I just want to point out that Gal Gadot is almost equally despised. Both for her politics, faux activism as well as the fact that’s she’s an absolutely terrible actress.

It’s almost as if Disney went out if its way to find the two people most hated by democrats and republicans respectively.

The only purpose of this movie now is so YouTube content creators can basically produce non stop outrage videos about ‘woke’ Disney from now until next spring. It’s truly insufferable.

Ah well, the outrage-industrial-complex must grind on. this movie is perfect fodder for this hate-spewing business model.

I think Gal Gadot is an okay actress, not great, but not terrible either. In the trailer, it looks like she's having a lot of fun portraying the Queen. I wasn't a big fan of Rachel Zegler, but now, after seeing her in the trailer and in those leaked footage, I kinda like her. There was a moment which I loved, when she told one of the dwarfs "You'll get there", when he tried whistling.

According to our source, Snow White has gone through three sets of reshoots as a result of backlash, a terrible original script, poor reception by focus groups and grave concern by a number of Disney executives and licensing partners over just how badly this film might perform. According to the source, these reshoots have attempted the following:

1) Clean up of the original vision to exclude dwarfs from the final product (except for one live actor). Reshoots allegedly occurred at this point to allow for new CGI dwarfs to be inserted into a large amount of the movie. We are informed this was not inexpensive and may have added an additional $30 million or more to the costs.

2) Another set of reshoots was then ordered as a result of extremely poor reception by focus groups who detested the character of Snow White as portrayed in the movie. Again, this is rumor, but we’re told efforts were made to bring in the younger version of Snow White played by a different actress to try to soften the character. This may have even included a new musical number added to give her even more screen time.

3) Finally, a third set of reshoots has just wrapped. And according to our source, these are a result of a movie that was still seen as incoherent and disjointed. The attempt was made to more closely align the film to the original animated feature-length film while still allowing the Zegler version to have a pro-feminist message — albeit one that is softer and less militant.

Our source informs us that one of the driving factors for the third set of reshoots was to reassure Mattel that this would not be a damaging enterprise for the toymaker in supporting Snow White. Reshoots largely occurred before the box office results of Inside Out 2, so Disney was not in a good place for leverage or for providing confidence to partners in their box office post-pandemic abilities. Inside Out 2 may have calmed nerves, but focus groups having seen this latest iteration of Snow White also have given top executives at Disney reason to hope they’ve turned a corner. Allegedly, they have sunk nearly $400 million in production of the film (not including marketing), but many believe they just might get a win with another Barbie-style box office sensation. The idea is that by going “soft woke” they can drive mothers and daughters to the box office but simultaneously stay away from hyper controversies that destroyed Lightyear, Strange World and more.

Beyond the focus group results for Snow White, we are told to watch for the big trailer to release with Moana 2 this November. Disney thinks they finally have a winner on their hands and they’re going to drive it towards female audiences as hard as they can.

Barbie is an iconic figure so her first big theatrical Film was a guranteed Hit, it had a good message (that could have been executed less aggressive imo but it crossed its point)
While this is another of countless remakes of a beloved classic that didnt need polishing or updating in the first place, big budget is impressive, but its gonna flop (hopefully ).

I hope they will cancel it because my nose smells the biggest upcoming live Action Box office failure, so they can save their last few production and Marketing costs.

I'm a box office nerd, Barbie was predicted to make like 200M worldwide at best in the beggining of the predictions, people need to stop rewriting history to make their point more true, also Barbie as a brand was a flop before the movie, nobody cared about Barbie in like 20 years.

And second, it's funny how spaniards are treated as white or brown depending on the conversation, Rachel Zegler is half colombian of spaniard ancestry, she's olive skin mediterranean (but anyways she uses fake bronzer seen in a video of her own YouTube channel where she says she fake tans with products)
