Pixar's Onward
Re: Pixar's Onward
Yes, Marvel doesn't put a disc for bonus features just like WDAS, the only exception is Endgame.

And it has been like that for quite some time..

Re: Pixar's Onward
I guess Marvel was good enough to give Endgame a proper release with extras. Interesting that Disney was never as kind when it came to Frozen and bonus features.

I think it's because they will probably never release Endgame in a different edition wheareas Frozen probably was going to get a collector's edition down the line. Now, I guess Disney+ makes Frozen's fate on home video uncertain.

Any "Collector's Edition" Frozen got was a mere reissue.Disney Duster wrote:I think it's because they will pribably never release Endgame in a different edition wheareas Frozen is probably was going to get a collector's edition down the line. Well, that's what I meant, that they have not given it a collector's edition yet, and Disney+ makes it unsure if it will get one ever. I just think they were planning on giving it one before Disney+.

Re: Pixar's Onward
That was never going to happen. With the exception of the Signature Collection, they just reissue the same discs. What Frozen got was it. If they had planned something like that, it would have been released in the 6 years between Frozen's release and the launch of Disney Plus.

Oh. You may be right. But I find that extremely strange on Disney's part, to release their most popular film once with few bonus features including one that teased a making-of and then never gave us one, and then never planned to release something better, with a making-of, for, once again, their most popular film. I still will always wonder if they were holding out and then Disney+ changed their plans. I get that you could be right, you made great points, I just wonder...

Disney has uploaded the entire Simpsons short "Playdate with Destiny" on social media, but is only making it available for a limited time. Watch it while you can.

Re: Pixar's Onward
WDAS could make the movie to top off Endgame from the box office and go on to win 5 Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor and Actress and it would still be a shoddy release like Frozen (and every other movie)Disney Duster wrote:Oh. This is a neat little interview with the movie's conductor and orchestrator. It's not too common to read interviews with that job, so:

Here's a quote from above video that could use some help from ANYONE with connections:Patricier21 wrote:Here's my quick Out of Theatre Reaction (from 1 week ago when I saw ithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f__B5YKbPBI

Patric J. McKenna i need help.My youtube channel is destroyed and i am afraid to upload any new video .Someone blocked my 70 videos one month ago.All my videos from Frozen and Frozen 2 playlists are blocked.Because of many reasons (and details) i believe that something is wrong and that it was done against Disney policy. On Disney site there is an option and everyone can "work" for Disney if someone want to report alleged copyright infringement probably it is a case or someone misused the fact that he work for Disney motivated by personal reasons (hate towards me without any reason) For example Frozen videos of that length are not blocked to no one in the whole world except to me.Also it never happened on youtube that Disney blocked someone Frozen video shorter than 30 seconds except to me. That's not all there are some other suspicious details too. Also all of those videos are still monetized by Disney Enterprises Inc and at the same time blocked by DisneyEnterprisesInc or Disney what is strange. I don't have copies of those 70 videos and all together they have more than 3,3 millions views.Do you maybe know someone who work at Disney ? Maybe that person can help me or at least give to me write address because those addresses which i can find on the internet those are not the write addresses for that purpose definitely. Then i will write to Disney and ask them if they could unblock my videos.
Re: Pixar's Onward
I heard bonus features are available on digital.
Re: Pixar's Onward
Just came here to let people know that Onward's release is today. The standard version DOESN'T come with a slipcover. However, the Target exclusive does. It's not a digipack, it has the same case as the standard version, it has a velcro flap slipcover (like early Platinum Edition slipcovers) that opens up and has the gallery book. I'm not interested in this film enough to buy it, but if I did, I would definitely try to get the Target exclusive before it's gone. Not ideal but preferable to no slipcover at all.

Re: Pixar's Onward
I went to Target today but didn't notice this film at all, nor was there any promotion. I'll have to go by later and pick it up eventually.

Re: Pixar's Onward
Here's an unboxing if you're interested. The guy in the video was disappointed and I guess that some might if they expected the digipack, but I think the Target exclusive is a good alternative for people who like a slipcover.

Re: Pixar's Onward
I went to Walmart and bought it there. I'm not a fan of Target's bookcase releases, which is why I passed. Walmart also has it for a couple of dollars cheaper.
It is kind of weird for this to not have a slipcover, but not all of my Blus have one, anyway.

Re: Pixar's Onward
According to customer comments on Amazon.co.uk, the U.K. 4K release of Onward does not include the Bonus Disc (Disc Three), unlike the U.S. 4K release.
Can anybody verify this? If true, the American release would be the winner here if one wants to buy the UHD version. The bonus disc has about one hour of content (featurettes and deleted scenes).
Also, the U.K. 2D-Blu-ray is a one-disc release, but the 3D-Blu-ray there allegedly has three discs, including the Bonus Disc.
To complicate things, the 3D version is only available in Europe (at least in the U.K. and Germany).
Once again, strange release policy, Disney!

People at bluray.com said it didn't come with the bonus disc as well, so I guess it's true. However, the UK release does come with a slipcover and US does not.
