In true Disney fashion, they are giving the first DVD release a poor treatment so that in a few years, they can add a bunch of stuff to it and make you want to buy it again. From a business stand point, it's genius. But it really is wrong.
Curse them! they've got fewer morals than Angela Lansbury!

Nah! I'm holding out for the Murder She Wrote Complete Season One Collector's Edition, containing the rare lost episode where Jessica Fletcher was the killer!

From a business stand point, it's genius. But it really is wrong. I will be buying this release because I loved this movie and want to complete the collection, and then I will buy it again when they add more to it because I have a problem and can't help myself. You would think that since it wasn't successfull at the box office, that Disney would want to put more on the DVD to make people feel better about a blind buy.
Thats the way Bi$$ney make their DVDs...

I don't own it but I know it didn't because the movie bomb at the theater.
Only the films that did great at the box office gets a slipcover.
I don't think that Home on the Range deserves a slipcover so I don't think it came with one.
No Slipcover

Yeah, Home on the Range didn't put up Lion King II or Lion King 1 ½ box office numbers. Hence, no slipcover!

Lion King 2: Simba's Pride didn't get a slipcover but Lion King 1 1/2 did but that was because they wanted you to think it was all that great.
