Beauty & the Beast Animation sketches/rough drawings REQUEST

Hey folks! ... Been a seriously long time since i've posted on this forum (though ive always checked in to catch up on the latest news)

But I have a request...

Can anyone tell me where I may find animation sketches and rough pencil drawings from the production of Beauty and the Beast? Whether they be officially released drawings that appear in animation books or screenshots taken from the extensive material in the Work-In-Progress edition of the film or any subsequent making of documentaries and featurettes.

I have a few already at my disposal but not many. I especially would like to find the rough animation from the transformation scene in picture format.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, i'd be ever so greatful!

Sorry I can't help. It's too bad PrincePhillipFan doesn't frequent anymore since I think his signature had a rough drawing of the Beast, so he might have been able to help. Maybe try PMing Escapay if you're able to do that, I know he's a big B&tB fan so he might know of sites that have those, possibly.

I'm a little confused here: are you looking to BUY original animation drawings from BATB?

Or are you just looking for scans of them? Or tips as to what books to buy to find them?

No I don't want to buy artwork... I already have a few besides.
I'm after just scans of rough animation, screenshots from the work-in-progress version etc Just anywhere where i can get these images.
I have the making of books but they're very stingy when it comes to the animator's sketches.

I don't know of any web sites, unfortunately. But A Disney Sketchbook does contain a few rough drawings for various animated films and shorts. Beauty and the Beast is definitely among them. I've perused through it time and again at World of Disney, but never got around to buying it (though after this post, maybe I will, haha). Here's a still from a French YT video that examines the book:

As for screen shots from the WiP version, those could be easily gleamed via screen-capture options on media players (VLC Player, for example) if one put the DVD in and paused at the desired frames. It would only be in standard definition (640x480) but it's a start? If the WiP on the Blu-Ray were an HD stream, one could get hi-def shots of those frames by extract the complete HD stream that it plays on. Unfortunately, it's just an SD stream that plays picture-in-picture, so it'll be the same as if you paused on WiP segments of the DVD.

(And it looks like Marce82 could help better than I as he seems to have a lot of images. I hate to be a hitchhiker, but I wouldn't mind having some of those stills, too.)

I usually use ImageBam or imgbox. There, you have the instructions on how to upload your photos. After the upload, you have a link there, which you can copy here.
