Don't care for that song, seems unusually kiddy and out of place in a movie like this.

Not going to watch it. Don't care to see full sequences of any of the songs before seeing them within context of the full movie. I already feel like I've seen way too much  In Summer is one of my least anticipated songs, but I think it will serve its purpose of lightening the mood.

In other news, Idina Menzel is going to be on Live with Kelly and Michael to talk about Frozen tomorrow. The media blitz has begun!

Idina Menzel on ''Live with Kelly and Michael''
It includes a bit of new footage from “Let It Go” at the beginning.

Got chills seeing the marriage of the song and the animation.

The more I see/hear it, the less im liking it...

1. The orchestration is very bland... They should have used the orchestration from the Disneyland Paris show. They should have made the song epic, since it's emotional level is way too high.

2. She doesn't build her castle till the bridge? I know that it's nice to have a character display their emotions, but is 30 seconds enough for her to build that castle?

3. Idina Menzel's singing voice is just not right for Elsa... They should have made Elsa look older to use Idina's voice.

But then again. my opinion might change from now till I see the movie.

I think Let It Go is a terrible song  it's bland has clunky lyrics and cheesy as hell. No matter, I've let go of the idea Disney movies come with amazing music. They're strength now is the story and character writing.

Let it go does have some cheesy and clunky lyrics.. but honestly, it's probably one of the best that disney have come out with. There are Lines i dont like, like: "You'll never see my cry" "That perfect girl is gone"

The first and second verse are perfect.. Maybe we could have used less "Let it go".... But honestly.. from the 3 current Disney movies, this one beats them by a long shot. Because there is so much raw emotion behind the song.

1. The point of the orchestrations is that when it reaches the high point (near the end), the orchestrations get bigger and grander with the sound of the song. The Disneyland Paris show uses the end of the song, that's why it sounded epic as it was, and it's the real orchestrations from the movie so I hear no difference.

2. She's free, she doesn't need to build her castle in 30 seconds tops right away. Elsa is feeling what she had been missing for almost her whole life, so she is taking her time in unleashing her powers in a way that's liberating for her.

3. I guess that's a matter of opinion, but I think Idina's singing voice matches Elsa just fine.

I agree, once we see the movie, it does get better, I felt that I See the Light from Tangled was an okay song untill I saw the movie and it was a beautiful sequence. I can't judge a Disney song in general when the visuals are the important key.

My point in the second complaint is that.. it would have been nice to see the entire castle be built with intricate details.. Instead of 30 seconds. But you never know.. This is basing my opinion on the song. Visually, it could make sense.

Also, with Idina's voice.. Im sure that it'll change once the movie comes out. These songs work really well visually..

Oh, when it comes to the moment where Elsa creates her castle. Well from the footage that we have gotten so far of the song in sneak peeks and tv spots, it seems she's doing just that; in one of the sneak peeks we get to see a shot of the chandelier being made so don't worry about that part. :)

I don't like any of the lyrics

Tangled shopping list lyrics>>>>>>

Tor would like to quit and be a florist
Gunther does interior design
Ulf is into mime
Attila's cupcakes are sublime
Bruiser knits
Killer sews
Fang does little puppet shows
And Vladimir collects ceramic unicorns!

I do understand that criticism, but that was actually something I loved about Elsa. The voice and character design got across the point that Elsa is a serious, 21 year old queen, and one who has been holding back a lot. Also, keep in mind that the snippet you can see in the Kelly video is Elsa at her most childlike (besides when she's an actual child). She is giddy in that snippet because she is starting to realize she's free. So she makes a childlike face. In most scenes, her demeanor tends to be much more serious or filled with emotion, so the voice fits much better.

Idina Menzel has such a powerful voice! Gave me goosebumps to hear and see that clip. Can't wait to buy the soundtrack on CD!

Wasn't the "they'll never see me cry" bit cut from the final song? I only heard that in Chelsea's version of it.

Edit: Whoops, just saw the clip and see its still there.

But wow, that voice does not match the character's look at all.

Elsa is the oldest Disney princess at 21 and Idina sounded like that in her 20s. I don't see the problem.

I think you'll get over it after watching her in the movie. She has a more mature vibe that makes her seem older than her appearance (which could be any age from 18-30 really).

Idina's speaking voice perfectly matches Elsa. It's just the singing voice.
