Frozen: Part III
Re: Frozen: Part III
Well that's fair enough and each to their own; but I disagree that Disney 'rarely pulls off musicals'. It's what they are famous for!

Oh you guys should know that I despise Tangled.

But, yeah, while I was surprised Mandy Moore did as well as she did voicing Rapunzel, I absolutely hated the choice of her from the outset because she’s an awful singer and will forever be put in the same category as Benson, Salonga, Kuhn, or even Rose from the previous princess film… What a joke. If they were going to cast a Pop singer, there are a few out there who can sing without autotune. Thankfully, Tangled’s soundtrack was weak (to me), so I didn’t feel like I missed much had there been a better singer.
I can’t comment on Bell since I know very little about her, but from what I heard she has a Broadway background or at least experience there? Which already makes her way more appealing than Mandy Moore, although I’m sure Idina Menzel will wipe the floor with the both of them.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

I'm probably going to be in a very unpopular minority here, but I think Kristen's voice could wipe the floor with Menzel.Disney's Divinity wrote:I can’t comment on Bell since I know very little about her, but from what I heard she has a Broadway background or at least experience there? Idina knows how to belt yes, but it's always borderline screaming. Kristen has a pleasant and clear voice with a big range. If she weren't picking such terrible scripts she'd be a much bigger star anyway. She's quite talented. And yes, she's been on Broadway in some minor productions.

Apparently the French trailer will be out on Wednesday, hoping for some new footage.

Earlier today, the DMR Facebook page posted a photo of Anna seeing Elsa in her castle; I have no idea if it's an old photo or not, but here it is:

It was released a few weeks ago around the same time as the teaser.TheSequelOfDisney wrote:Earlier today, the DMR Facebook page posted a photo of Anna seeing Elsa in her castle; I have no idea if it's an old photo or not, but here it is:

Names will be wrong, I can't spell this late at night
I love Idina Menzel's voice, but I feel like I'll hate it in this movie because it won't match with the character. Elsa looks too young to have Idina's voice.
As for Bell, at the moment, she sounds somewhat close to Mandy, but what we are hearing are recordings from 8 years ago, so her voice might have changed for the better.
As for the male characters.. their voices are amazing. I've been a fan of Jonathan Groff's voice since i heard it on glee a few years ago. As for Santino Fontana, his voice reminds me of the old princes which is good. I can't wait till we get the first look at the soundtrack..

Re: Frozen: Part III
The trailer we'll get next wednesday in my country is the same from Japan, but dubbed in french and I saw it at a big presentation of the movie I attended last Thursday but I can't talk about it because of an embargo until 10th of August.
Anyway, Frozen is more and more epic and magical.

Re: Frozen: Part III
Pity about the trailer. When you mentioned presentation of the film, were you privy to an actual advance screening of the full film or just given more plot details, bits of footage, concept art etc.Prince Kido wrote:The trailer we'll get next wednesday in my country is the same from Japan, but dubbed in french and I saw it at a big presentation of the movie I attended last Thursday but I can't talk about it because of an embargo until 10th of August.

People who attended the screening can't say anything about what they saw until August 10.disneyprincess11 wrote:So what do you mean by embargo until August 10?

BTW: Elsa poster????

Re: Frozen: Part III
Actually, I don't want any spoiler, but I need to know if it'll have a scene that could pass to Disney's history, if it really is "the Beauty and the Beast" in this """new disney Renaissance"".
I'm intirgued by this Elsa's poster too. I hope it's like one of the book covers we saw earlier! With her huge face, or his cape as a mountain and I hope It's totally not like the leaked posters earlier this year
