Yes, I knew. I think everyone knows the movie will have a happy ending. Still, it's odd for Disney to release that image considering the fuss they've made about those fake posters. The renderings of the characters are exactly the same. I suppose with Disney being such a vast company, it's bound for something like this to slip by them.
Disney's Divinity wrote:If they aren't playing a sizable role, I prefer them to be silent/mostly silent.
I don't think making them silent completely solves the 'annoying sidekick' issue. It varies with each character. For example, I don't like Meeko/Percy and Maximus/Pascal despite them being silent.

With all the new technology, the wonderful Tangled concept art style and testreels, and the techniques used in Paperman, and the ideas Mark Henn has (just like Glen Keane had) I really hope "Frozen" is the last generic CGI, rubbery-limbed character film.

I know that I'm repeating myself, but so do I. The designs are bland and unremarkable. They look like taken from a "Tinker Bell" movie. And Olaf look awful!

Actually... Anna is prettier than I tought!! Very Rapunzel like but, it's ok, at least she's not another Tinker Bell sidekick.
Elsa's dress is very very beautiful, I hope the CGI cloth to be awesome.
And Olaf.... well... it's more stranger than ever! On the concept art we saw, he looked a lot like Mater, but in that CGI image he has a childish face, it's like a little boy inside a snowman, very, very strange :/
By the way, if Elsa "creates" Olaf, that makes her his mom?? xD

I think you should wait before saying that... Just see them in movement and see if their designs work... A trailer can't be far behind!

Disney's Divinity wrote:Not surprised, stupid snow man looks stupid. (Really hope this isn't a return to the loudmouth sidekicks from the '90s...) Not feeling any of the character designs we've been given.

Btw, that second image should be kept hidden for spoilers!!! The snow covering the kingdom melts! :P Anyone expecting them to steal B&tB's ending again, a la Tangled, even with the castle returning to normal?
Well, unless they pull another Princess and the Frog, my theory is Elsa somehow keeps him alive with her powers, which I think will happen. Plus, it looks like that Olaf is on the beach :P

Honestly, my first thought about Olaf was that when the kingdom melts, he dies like Ray. :p

Haha. I never thought about it before you mentioned it, but yeah, he looks like Mater in the concept art and frankly, I think he looks like Mater in the final art as well.

Was I the only one who thought of Pixar's "Knick Knack" short when they saw Olaf?

The website Blueskydisney confirms what I already knew but couldn't tell yet : the first teaser of Frozen will appear soon, in front of Monsters University, but it will be a teaser, not a trailer and will show 2 characters that are not the main ones you would expect to see and which won't be in the final movie.

But what many people will be happy about is getting their first real look at Walt Disney Animation Studios' next feature: "Frozen". The first teaser will be in front of the Lamp's animated prequel. Now, it's a teaser, not a full trailer. It's meant to give you the flavor of the film. It'll be a sweet little scene (not of the main characters) that shows off the humor. One that gets you ready for what's to come.
Great, so it's going to be like Tangled ALL OVER AGAIN with the "We are totally hip and cool" advertising?

And let me guess: The character will be...

Really, if this is true, don't even show us a teaser. WE NEED ELSA, HANS, AND SVEN, DANGIT!

Okay, that's still good... But I bet they'll release a photo of Anna and/or Elsa to tame the beasts...

Do they honestly think that a teaser with Olaf will get positive reactions? I don't think it's appropriate for the very first look of the film.

EDIT: I just noticed that Prince Kido already posted this.

So, it's going to be a teaser with original animation like the one for The Princess and the Frog?

Is it really so hard to show scenes from the film itself rather than wasting time animating scenes exclusively for the teaser?
