I think the first one had amazing visuals, music and a great cast. The story was a little so-so. I hope that the next one will have a better script, and I hope that the White Queen will be a part of it and that we will get to see more of her than we did in the first movie.

Even though there were many, many things wrong with the first one, I’m still kind of excited for this. I hope the Red Queen/Helena Bonham Carter will have some kind of role or cameo.

There was never any doubt this was going to happen, so might as well look on the bright side--more visuals. :P

Caught the first half of Burton's "Alice"... it left me completely cold. I too hope this sequel manages to be at least halfway decent.

This will be interesting. I will reserve final judgment until I see the final product.

Of course they are. Everyone knows how crazy for franchises Bob Iger is!

I'm not at all familiar with Lewis Carroll's original versions... is there more material they could cover with a sequel? Or will it be an original story?

Even though the movie itself isn't all that great, I'll still be happy to see this.

Probably drawing more on the characters from "Through the Looking Glass" (the second Alice book).

Two little ironies:

1) I've always considered the first film to technically be a sequel to the 1951 Disney movie.

2) I just found out about another Disney sequel possibly in the works.

I've always sorta consider that too. Ain't that a coincidence?

As for a sequel, BAD idea (and I'm a guy who wants a Roger Rabbit sequel)! If however it's based on Alice Through The Looking Glass as Cordy_Biddle suggested, then maybe.

The good news is that it'll probably be better than the first. Which sucked.

Maybe they can make a prequel, from the scenes we saw in the 2010 version....

But considering Wonderland has restored back to it's original form(since evil has been locked away), I hope it will be a much brighter place in a next movie :)

That actually would be nice. As the flashback sequence was the only one that had that magical feeling to it.

I don't like the first film, so what's the point of making a sequel?

simple math.the gross practically guaranteed a sequel by covering any lost profits on said sequel
