I hope I am not the only one bothered by the fact that even the best educated state has less than 40% of adults with a post-secondary degree.

Edit: Doing some additional research found this to be quite good compared to other countires. Apparenlty in 2003, Canada had the higest rate of completed degrees amongst the "working age" population (25-64) at 44%. The US was second at 38%. http://www.ccsd.ca/factsheets/education/

"In 2004, a study by Statistics Canada found that 59.1% of Canadians aged 25 to 54 had a post-secondary certificate or university degree [and] 8.0% had taken some post-secondary education,"

That bothers me too. Now I never went to college. I spent much of my 20s drudging along in mom/pop grooming shops and pet stores before I went to a corporation, Petsmart. I started at a lowball pay and then they sent to me to "Grooming Academy", so I got on the job training and now have a TRUE career...All without a lick of college, never had to pay for my schooling either. So I wouldn't count it all as bad. No college does not always equal fry cook ;)

^exactly, but I still love seeing Massachusetts in the blue. :P

But in all seriousness, I remember Conan O'brien said on a DVD commentary that he never went to college( funnily enough it was for "Homer Goes to College") and he seems to be doing pretty well for himself. :)

One of the few things I disagree with Obama is his stance on college and education.

People are going to need a fry cook or a trash man, More than the Fry Cook needs a rocket scientist.

However, I do feel Obama would at least hear someone one out regarding that, and not just dis the person saying that they're wrong.

On a practical level, this is most agreeable. I assure you most of us in our working years wont want to deal with trash ourselves and if anything like my old man, will bury ourselves in our careers to avoid it.

When Obama said that he wants everyone to go to college and Republicans accused him of being a snob, he obviously meant that he wants everyone who wishes to go to college to be able to afford to.

Okay, typically in America we are after the next big thing, or rather the next election. Personally I'd like to not think about 2016 and just enjoy right now, however certain people are saying that Jeb Bush may throw his hat in the race. Bush vs Clinton. Uh..is this the 90s again or something?

I Personally feel that a republican who has a chance to beat Hilary Clinton, that republican would be Christie.

It is. That site is a news joke site. Kinda like The Onion. you can tell it is right off the bat with the photoshopped pic of Romney in the picture and the Bat-Boy pic in the advertisement.

Yeah, especially when they imply every tv child actress is a nickelodeon girl.
