It's a shame you went on the shitty version of Journey into Imagination and the hack-up Living Sea. You would of love the originals of those two.
I'm also surprise you didn't go to Mexico and in the boat ride there, or go on the Norway ride. Those two kick ass and the Mexico pavilion one of my favorites next to Japan.

I loved both attractions regardless of the changes made from their original versions.Super Aurora wrote:It's a shame you went on the shitty version of Journey into Imagination and the hack-up Living Sea. You would of love the originals of those two.

Well, the park closed at 9:00, so I didn't have time to do both attractions. But EPCOT will be a first day priority for my second trip, which I hope to make very soon

Wow, your trip was capped off with a still very eventful and wonderful time. Completing the magic of a Walt Disney World trip. : )
But that was Mulan's last meet and greet ever?!!!! That's not right! That's just removing he because she isn't as popular!!! Or, she'll still be around as a character, there just won't be a set-up time and place to meet her? But honestly, it still makes too much sense to see Mulan at China for this to really be excusable!

Duster, when I said that it was Mulan's last day ever, I didn't mean that it was Mulan THE CHARACTER'S last day ever, I meant that it was the last day of the girl PLAYING Mulan. Mulan is still a popular character to meet in China so I assume that she is still there at this moment, Again, it was the girl playing Mulan's last day. The funny part, though? Brent told us that she could have given us a special, private meet and greet with the characters that appear at the end of Fantasmic on the boat because she wanted to cap off her last day at Disney. But we couldn't do it because we were all so busy. Oh well, maybe next time.
And my trip isn't over yet!
Day 5: Resort hopping and last day at the Magic Kingdom
I had gone to bed at around midnight-1:00 AM. By 5:30 AM, I woke up feeling very refreshed and great! So much so that I decided to get the day started. I finished packing the rest of my things, and by 6:00 AM I was out the door. I decide to finally explore my resort, Pop Century, as well as explore the new Art of Animation resort which was right across from my resort.
The one thing I really love about Disney is that even the resorts go far to make sure that you are living a story. In Pop Century's case, it is feeling like you are going back and forth in time and be involved in the pop culture. In Art of Animation's case, I really loved how you felt like you were in these movies. In the Finding Nemo area, it was all designed so that you were the size of Nemo, while in the Cars area you were as big as the cars themselves. Plus I love seeing all the character artwork lying around on the lobby and in the chandelier they have.
By 9:00 AM, I was done exploring the resorts. I went back to my room, finished packing by stuff, and headed down to the lobby where I checked out, I printed out my airline ticket, sent off one of my pieces of luggage and put the rest of my stuff in storage. I headed to the Magic Kingdom one last time.
This day was already turning out to be the perfect last day at Disney. The sun was shining very brightly, the temperature was 91 degrees, it was a beautiful day. When I entered the Magic Kingdom, I decided to meet Daisy to try and complete the Mickey and friends meet and greets. While waiting in line for Daisy, the Move it Shake it Celebrate it parade made its way down Main Street, the first time seeing it actually. I finally met Daisy and told her that it was a shame that Donald was out having a party with Mickey while she was on Main Street working. She really seemed to love me.
Afterwards, I explored Main Street so more when I encountered an amazing surprise around the corner... THE CITIZENS OF MAIN STREET! I hear that they are somewhat rare at the Magic Kingdom, so I was ecstatic to see them out and about... AND WITH THE DAPPER DANS NO LESS! They were out greeting people, singing and dancing with the saxophone players. We even did a chorus line! I took a picture with Smokey, Hilda and the Mayor, and told them it was such a great honor to meet them.
Just ahead the trolley show was performing again! I can't tell you how much I LOVE the Trolley show, and to see it one last time on that day made me a very happy Disney nerd. I then took some more pictures of the castle, the partners statue and some shots of myself with the castle.
Then, I made my way over to Liberty Square to see if I could do Tiana's meet and greet. She was out in an hour break, so what I did was go on the Liberty Bell river boat to see a tour of Frontierland. Like I said, the day was absolutely stunning so I got to see the sights in beautiful detail.
When I got off, it was only 10 minutes for Tiana's meet and greet to start, so I stopped by to see Donald, who is favorite character of the Mickey crew, and complete my Mickey and friends character hunt (turns out I forgot Chip and Dale, oh well maybe next time
). With Donald done, I finally made my way over to Tiana's area.
This Tiana was AMAZING. When I told her that I was from Puerto Rico, she said "well then you know my cousin!". I asked her "Who is your cousin?". She then said "the coqui!". This stunned me. The coqui is a tiny tropical frog known for singing during and after the rain in the evening. The coqui is one of the national symbols of Puerto Rico, so the fact that Tiana knew that fact about the island just blew my mind away.
Another great thing happened too. While Tiana was doing her meet and greet, Peter Pan bolted out of nowhere, jumped the fences, and stopped by to say hi to Tiana! He then mocked her and everyone else, and ran to his meet and greet spot.
After Tiana, I decided to meet up with Brent on Tomorrowland. After meeting, we made our way to the Barnstormer, then headed over to Adventureland where we picked up a Fastpass for the Jungle Cruise. While waiting for our time, we rode Pirates one more time. I can't get enough of this attraction. But something odd happened. In the scene with the prisoners trying to lure the dog with the key, the dog was not animating at all. He just kept staring at us. It was both oddly awesome and very creepy. I know for some this ruins the magic and they claim that Disney is cheap etc, but I find it fascinating when something is odd in an attraction.
With Pirates done, we finally made our way over to Jungle Cruise. It was a lot of fun, and our skipper was good, but there were some missed opportunities in terms of jokes. After the ride, we meet up with Reuben, our Canadian cast member friend Alex, and her best friend Caitlin. Since I had not given the Astro Orbiter a chance, we agreed to ride together. Astro Orbiter was a TRIP! No really, the thing went by so fast it was like my eyes were having a hard time keeping up with the scenery!
Next, we decided to do the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, where something incredible happened. For over 5 years, one of Brent's goal was to be "that guy" on the show. He had gone to it several times, and no luck. But on this day... HE WAS THAT GUY! I swear, when Mike Wazowski declared him as "that guy", we all jumped for joy! I think it was almost as epic as me seeing the castle for the first time!
With the show done, we made our way to Splash Mountain, where Brent's cousin had gotten us Fastpasses for it! Unfortunately, Reuben and Caitlin had to end the day there, so I said my good byes there. And I went on to make Splash Mountain my last ride on this Disney vacation. I said my good byes to Brent, told him that it was a great honor that he hung out with me, and made my way to the buses.
But then something great happened... While walking down Main Street, the Move it, Shake it, Celebrate it Street Party was making the final rounds down Main Street. What struck me was the music playing, saying that it was the time of my life, and that everything I did celebrated me. It really moved it because this trip was a dream come true, and after all I had endured prior to it, like work drama, my father suffering a heart attack and such, I felt like I was given five of the best days I could ever ask for, along with some amazing friends to share it all with. As the parade was ending, I kept waving good bye, as a way to say thank you for the memories. Yes, I teared up badly, but I was just so happy. I then looked at Cinderella's castle one last time, I blew it a kiss and all of Main Street and headed over to the airport.
I hate to be cliched, but this truly was a magical trip. As Jasmine once said, every moment was truly red letter. I got to do nearly all the major attractions, I met my favorite characters ever and celebrated with some great friends! Believe it or not, I am already planning another trip to celebrate Disneykid's birthday and Halloween, and if it all works out, I return on Christmas with my nephew if we both work hard to make it happen!
And my trip isn't over yet!

Oh, Mulan will still be there, very good, and oh, you had even more to go, I just couldn't tell with how great every day ended for you just being another great day of your trip!
It's so cool you got to go on some of the same rides over again just because you liked them so much to finish your trip! Some people don't get the luxury of going on anything more than once, they try to do it all and never get to go on their favorite ones again, till next time.
So it sounds like you had an awesome, amazing, and yes, magical (c'mon, you HAVE to use that word for Disney, it's not cliche for the most magical place on Earth!) time and a truly incredible, wonderful birthday! And I'm so glad for you!!! And I guess it's only now you're making so much money to be able to go, because now you're planning on going a bunch of times?!

Thanks for the kind words, Duster!
Here is a special treat for everybody: my meet and greets video! Note this is only a small chunk of the many characters I met on my trip (in total I met 36 characters or so), and Disneykid was the one that took the video and edited it, so all credits go to him.
Here we go!

I really enjoyed reading your trip report. It makes me want to move to Florida even more so I can experience every inch of every park. I have a confession to make - I have NEVER been to EPCOT! Can't wait for the day. So glad you had a good time on your first trip to Disney.
