Er... porn is 'non-fiction'?
Porn is complete fiction. In real life, fat bald guys don't get jumped on by 18 year old cheerleaders/schoolgirls/waitresses etc. In real life, a girl doesn't engage in a gangbang with 20 men in order to earn herself a reward. In real life, not all men have sixpacks and more muscles than I can count and not all women are incredibly slender and hot. If you think porn has anything to do with reality, you've got a problem.

And I do think it's kind of beneath one's human dignity to be sitting at a computer, masturbating, with your pants around your ankles when you could be out there and in a real relationship.....but that's just my take!
What's not dignified about masturbating? Do you have an actual reason for this statement? I believe 90% of all people do it. Since it's your body and your pleasure, I can't see how it is 'undignified'.
Also, what makes you think one excludes the other? You think that people who are in a relationship stop masturbating? Not from what I hear/read from others. Your boy/girlfriend won't be around all the time; or sometimes he/she will not be in the mood to have sex. So what does one do then? Exactly.
Besides, some people prefer to not be in a relationship. Or they do, but they simply aren't in one at the moment. You can't just snap your finger and be in one. Yes, you can go out there and meet people and try to get into one. But again, one doesn't exclude the other.
As for porn: is it degrading? Tough to say. There's many kinds of porn. There's very rough, hardcore, violent porn. There's also 'amateur porn', which has the look and feel of ordinary everyday sex. I can't say the latter is really degrading. It depends on whom you ask. I know women who hate it; I also know lots of women who watch it themselves.

None taken.

I just don't find it that arousing. I'd rather be with my boyfriend. But to each his own! I was just surprised so many here are into it....and at such young ages.
Oh, you have no idea! You should ask around among your guys friends. You'll be shocked.
