The Luke Appreciation Thread

Post by Disney Duster »

Yes, I always go on here every time I'm on the computer.

Thanks for making a site that has almost become my life, Luke. It's just that enjoyable and addicting. This is just the place for Disney, for the info and the love, so I love it.

Thanks for also letting us speak our minds and talk about and debate almost any subject, but helping us when we feel people are being hurtful. Thanks for letting this be a place of freedom and family.

Wow, this thread should have been updated sooner!

Well, I know I very much appreciate Luke for the wonderful work he's done keeping up with and maintaining this website, which is, to me, anyway, the single best resource on the internet for information about Disney films and video releases. Plus, he's the reason I've gotten to "meet" so many other individuals who share interests as mine. UD is very much a home to me now.

Thanks so very much, Luke!

Wow, I've never seen this thread since I've only been a member since 2007, and it was started when I was still a lurker, but during a time when I was pre-occupied with the aftermath of Katrina.

So, thanks to Luke and UD! I've been reading your thorough and well-written reviews long before I joined the site! They were what got me hooked on the site, and were always consistantly my favorite reviews of my beloved Disney films on DVD. They had the thorough breakdown of the bonus features, comparison to previous editions when applicable, and a true Disney fan's appreciation for the films themselves, that consistantly set them apart from other review sites!

Your reviews are synonymous in my mind with the building of my Disney DVD collection, and were a part of the enthusiasm I felt while building that collection!

So thanks again, and keep up the great work! And that thanks goes to Aaron and Kelvin as well! :)

Many thanks for the nice words, but let's not forget CJ, who helps keep the forum running like a well-oiled forum!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to overlook CJ! :) I guess when I posted I was thinking more of the reviews than the forum, and you, Aaron, and Kelvin seem to be the main reviewers at the moment.

But I really enjoy the forum as well, so thanks to CJ and anyone else who helps keep it running! :)

Also thanks to all others who contributed reviews in the past - Netty, Scaps, Jake, Jack, and anyone else I failed to mention! ;)

Agreed. Thank you so much Luke! (And everyone else as well) Even though I've only been a member for 9 months, I can't remember a time when I didn't come on this website multiple times a day. :)

I'm surprised I never responded to this thread, or to Aaron's (well, never responded seriously to his). But I too share in the appreciation.

Luke's really pulled of an amazing thing here, and even though the forum community has been bitterly divided about certain things, we all still have a common ground, and have Luke to thank for it. UD is an amazing resource, and I'm glad to have been a part of it for the past 6.5 years, especially during my time as a reviewer as I was glad to be able to contribute to the UD magic and essence and all the other words that I generally shy away from using nowadays.

I can't wait for the 10th Anniversary in January!

A year later & I still appreciate Luke (& everybody who helps with dvdizzy). Don't go a day without checking in. I remember when you were a big poster over on dvdfile & started this place up. Good times.
