Maroon 5 were totally great, and I guess I am out of the loop because I have never heard of the other guest on the show, his first name was Jason and he sucked. If that's talent, then I guess I am just getting too old for this so-called modern music.
I had no ideal who the other guest was either, but enjoyed Maroon 5.

I had forgotten about the Wild Card round. Hopefully we see some good acts brought back and given another chance. Although I think we may have already seen our winner. iLuminate was fantastic. If they don't win, I'm sure they will get a show somewhere.

Last night's (Aug. 9) edition of "America's Got Talent" was the YouTube edition with 12 acts selected to be on stage in front of 14 million people.

Two acts stood out from all the rest and they were West Springfield Dance Team, who were very excitingly original in their routine and very scary at the same time, and I agree with Sharon that they need a better name.

The guy who did all the bicycle tricks in the dark, illuminated only by blacklight was amazing.

Those were two of my favorites. One of the lamest acts was the group choir from a high school that pretended to be influenced by "Glee", and just didn't impress anyone.

Tonight is the Results show and four of the acts who received the most votes last night (Did you vote?) will be sent to the Semi-Finals. Next week is the "Wild Card" week when the judges will bring back 12 acts from the first four weeks who didn't get put through to the Semi-Finals, who will get one more chance.

The results show was very good last night, but all the 'so-called talent' they had was boring. Rebecca Black is really a good looking lady, but she can't sing a note, IMO. She was totally unwatchable.

The acts that got put through were really the best from YouTube, and for the first time I picked which four were going to be sent to the Semi-Finals.

Next week, thanks to Sharon Osbourne we will get to see West Springfield Dance Team in the Wild Card show, along with 12 other acts where the Final Four will be picked to go to the Semi-Finals.

Should be a really good week for the show, and then the Results show the following night will be very interesting.

The Wild Card show for America's Got Talent last night was a real snooze fest. The twelve acts that they brought back were basically still not worthy of the million dollar prize.

My votes went to the two magicians and Yellow Designs Stunt Team. I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of the other acts. The juggler blew and the girl vocalist was off key throughout her song, and The Fiddleheads defied definition again, as no one played the fiddle and the song was just not that good. The dancers were okay, the comedian was terrible and the Kinetic King was just alright!!!

Tonight is the Results show where four of the acts will be put through to the Semi-Finals which start next week (August 23).

After last night's results show we now know who the four weakest contestants will be. Jump Ropers??? C'mon, if I was in Vegas I wouldn't pay to see a show of people jumping rope. And the 'Horror' dancers from East Springfield High School, Virginia don't have a shot at anymore than another appearance. The only person maybe getting through will be the Magician. But we all know how magicians fare on AGT.

Next week starts the Semi-Finals.

The Dance Team from East Springfield High....might have a chance...I mean they could make a good vegas act....a gothic type perhaps.....and can be discovered or go on to be famous even if they don't Win this season - though that goes for everyone on the show that's good....I still think last year they should have had a tour of the top 12.....it would've been great....in fact I think that's where they got the idea from besides other shows doing that.....

Last night's Semi-Finals show was amazing. It started out pretty ragged, but by the second half of the show it really rocked.

A couple of my favorite acts include Team iLuminate and Poplyfe, the little rock band from Oakland.

Poplyfe's version of the Beatles' "Come Together" was risky, but they pulled it off and really wowed the audience.

I hope that those who watched the show are voting and voting for the act that would make a good Las Vegas act. There are five acts who will get the chance to be in the Finals that will air in two weeks.

Tonight's Results show will also feature a performance by Demi Lovato, which I will skip through because that's what I do with the results show. I always DVR the results show just to get the results, unless there is a really good act that I want to see perform. But I am glad that I am in the habit of DVR'ing the Results show, especially with the no-talent Demi Lovato on tonight. She was in Kansas last year and got booed off the stage because she lip-synch's her entire show. That's not how you show the world you have talent.

Here's to the five acts that will move forward in the Finals.

Agree with four of the top five who were selected to go on to the Finals of America's Got Talent in two weeks. Again the judges aren't thinking about who would pay to see an act in Las Vegas and I definitely don't think that the West Springfield Dance Team is worthy of a headline act in Vegas, much less an act that anyone would pay to see. They are very good, but they are a one-trick pony and probably could be an opening act for someone, but not a headliner.

Next week we will get the other 12 acts that are in the Semi-Finals, and already I can see four of the five who should be going home.

In two weeks it will be the Grand Finale of the 2011 America's Got Talent show and it should be a good one. My pick to take it all is "Team iLuminate", they are totally awesome and should win this very easily.

It's all over for this year, and the winner was Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., the former car wash and detail worker from West Virginia, who brought his Sinatra-like crooning voice to the stage of "America's Got Talent".

First runner-up was Silhouettes Dance Team, who were remarkable in their abilities to bring the crowd to their feet each time they performed.

Third place found the member of Team iLuminate, one of the early favorites and POPLYFE ended up in fourth place.

This was one of the best year's for America's Got Talent, talent wise, and their viewing audience was bigger this year than in years past. The voting was closer than ever, according to reports from Variety magazine. The Grande Finale voting found that less than five percent separated fourth place from first place. That's what I call really close.

Looking forward to next year's AGT, and next on the agenda is Simon Cowell's new show "The X-Factor" which starts Wednesday night on FOX.
