I wish we'd get an Alice in Wonderland kind of deal with The Black Cauldron; the DVD only edition comes out one year, and the next we get a Blu-ray/DVD combo. It'd be a nice surprise to see The Black Cauldron this Halloween on Blu-ray (although I know how unlikely that is).PheR wrote:Why Disney keeps re-releasing everything (even black cauldron) but Hunchback and Hercules is beyond me
MULAN & ROBIN HOOD OOP 6-1-11
I think they didn't plan the Alice BR release until they saw how Huge the Burton movie became at the box office, so I think this was a one time only DVD-a year later BD-releaseMJW wrote:I wish we'd get an Alice in Wonderland kind of deal with The Black Cauldron; the DVD only edition comes out one year, and the next we get a Blu-ray/DVD combo. Seriously, I really don't care what order they are released in, I just want a new release of both of these. Blu ray or DVD.PheR wrote:I think they didn't plan the Alice BR release until they saw how Huge the Burton movie became at the box office, so I think this was a one time only DVD-a year later BD-release

I dont see it like that. I think they initially planned the BD to tie-in with the Tim Burton Release and then found out they couldnt get the release out on time and repackaged the old DVD.PheR wrote:I think they didn't plan the Alice BR release until they saw how Huge the Burton movie became at the box office, so I think this was a one time only DVD-a year later BD-releaseMJW wrote: I wish we'd get an Alice in Wonderland kind of deal with The Black Cauldron; the DVD only edition comes out one year, and the next we get a Blu-ray/DVD combo. I can't wait for Mulan! I was obsessed with it as a kid! I've never gotten around to getting the DVD. I was considering it recently but I will now definately wait untill the Blu-ray release! I hope it gets a nice release with a decent set of bonus features. I think its an absolutely brilliant film!
Robin Hood will be good too, although its not one of my favourites, but any Animated Classic release is exciting!
I'm also hoping for a 20th anniversary release of Aladdin next year too or for them to even add it back into the Damond Range... I also wanna see Tarzan on Blu as well soon!
