I havent seen this, but I've read up on it, and it looks like a really cute piece for Disney....

I'd love to see it on DVD/BD and I'm sure Disney will at least think to tie it into A Christmas Carol's release, either as a bonus feature or a standalone/bonus DVD. If not maybe we will see it on the DVD Fantasia World, the new DVD out the end of this year with other recent Disney shorts/featurettes, aka Tick Tock Tale and How To Hook Up Your Home Theater??? Hopefully they consider these options, or they'll otherwise wait until they make more Prep and Landing shorts in the coming years

That would make sense, but we probably would have heard about it by now.

Good to see you posting again, James!

Prep & Landing just won the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Animated Program, beating the likes of The Simpsons and South Park:

WOW! That's GREAT news! We already know that we'll be seeing more of Lanny and Wade in the future, but I hope all of Prep's success will give Disney reason to continue with shorts and featurettes for a long time!

I hope they make a feature film, to be perfectly honest. Animated, of course.

I think a Prep and Landing feature would be a great idea, too. I've read somewhere that they may be planning on kind of the same deal as The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and combining multiple featurettes.

But in general I hope they continue with shorts and featurettes with both old and new characters.

Why is the new short only gonna be 7 minutes long though? :(

I read the premise for the special they plan to air in 2011 and I'm looking more forward to that.

In fact, that could actually be a setup for a good movie.

So, anyone know?

And, anyone know when it's airing on TV again this year?

No DVD release yet. Perhaps maybe next year. Also, Prep & Landing will air on December 7 and again on December 16.

Prep & Landing: Operation Secret Santa

Boy, 7 minutes goes really fast. I enjoyed it, but that's not a lot of time to develop a story.

Betty White was fantastic! I really hope she returns for next seaon's sequel.

Perhaps the DVD release was held back so they can do a release with both last year's special and the 7 minute short they showed tonight on the same disc.

Or maybe they'll do a full blown release a year from now with Prep and Landing, the 7 minute short, and the sequel theyre doing next year.

darn it, I was out of town and forgot about the short for this year! I wonder if Disney Channel would ever air it....
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.
