Hi. I'm a newcomer here.
Here is my list:
Timothy Spall as the Coachman (Just watch Sweeney Todd and tell me you don't see a resemblance.)
Miranda Richardson as Maleficent
Cate Blanchett as the Evil Queen
I am definitely all for Christopher Lee as Frollo but I think Alan Rickman is closer in age.
Samuel L. Jackson as Dr. Facilier
Scarlett Johansson as Helga from Atlantis
And speaking of Atlantis, that one guy who was the villain in Avatar as Rourke.
Gary Oldman as Jafar
Other villain actors....

I have always stated, here on U.D. and elsewhere, that though she may be too old for the role now, Carol Burnett would make an AWESOME Medusa from The Rescuers.
I really like the idea of Christopher Lee as Frollo.
Ha, I was going to say "The Rock" as Gaston. Though, might be able to come up with someone better.
Of course, it's tempting in a lot of these cases to use the voice actor. Sometimes they seem the only person who could play those characters as well as they already played them, ha. Especially when the character was drawn to look like them! Hades, Yzma, McLeach...
Let's see...
How about Michelle Pfeiffer (sp?) as Maleficent. Not sure if someone already said that though, or if I read that idea somewhere. I feel like I did and originally didn't like it, but now it sounds pretty decent.
Curry looks great these days for Ratcliffe. I agree.
How about Sigourney Weaver for Lady Tremain?
For Syndrome, how about Jack Black?
Always though Andreas Dejas (the animator) should play Jafar, ha.
Incidentally, anyone here remember the bully kid from Return of the Living Dead Part 2? He HAD to have been the basis for Sid from Toy Story!

I really liked the suggestion of Midler for Ursula. It's hard to think of someone who could play that role well-enough. I also like the idea of Alan Rickman (perhaps as Frollo?).
Tilda Swinton is a favorite of mine (not because of LWW), but the only one I think she might do well as would be Tremaine.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
I think Bette Midler would be great as Ursula!!!! And I can see Tilda playing The Evil Queen and Maleficent as well. But Lady Tremaine would probably be the best choice for her acting style.Disney's Divinity wrote:I really liked the suggestion of Midler for Ursula.
