I think they have to say that at this point. until they figure out for sure if it'll go into production. maybe they still need to make the electronics less Hamm to pitch to retailers. Not quite sure how that works.

At this point though, its safe to say that Hamm wont be coming, but if he does it wont be for at least a year. Takes about 6 months for production, and Thinkway specifically said "no plans to produce" so it is indeed a confirmation that Hamm will not be coming. At least in 2010.

Damn, and it looks PERFECT.

Now just to find the HAMM 3d pixar model, upload into Pepekura, and get a Hamm that way. A 3d printer with elbow grease.

I would pay someone to render a replcia hamm 3d model, or take the Hamm 3d model from one of the TS games, to upload into pepekura.

LOTSO IN STOCK

Looks like a lesser than, not made by Thinkway, but I could be wrong. Either way, he's available NOW:

I don't think its safe to count it out so soon though. She could easily just be lying or not want to reveal that they are just yet.

Anyway, your not going to get the actual model used by pixar, that's just impossible. I have started to make my own though that, if I ever managed to finish you could use. I got kinda stuck when it came to properly connecting the ears, and starting the legs.

The models you would find in any of the toy story games would be far too low poly to be of any use. I mean, he's only been on the n64 and other similar powered systems. Though you might have good luck with the upcoming Toy Story 3 game. The wii version in particular should be easy to rip the model from for someone who knows what their doing.
Though if you could get the Ps3 or 360 version that would be the ultimate version. probably.

I mean, all ya gotta do is change some of the pieces and have her voice actress do some new lines.
Exactly. I would be very surprised if we don't see Mrs. Potato Head in the next wave after the ones we know about. IF there's another wave I mean.

Kyle,
I doubt she would flat out lie, or beat around the bush,as she was very specific in saying "no plans to produce" and like Isaid, once production even starts, its 6 months to a year before the toys hit shelves. So no hamm anytime soon by thinkway.

However, here is the only alternative, but a pretty good one. Someone had mentioned seeing this Hamm online, and that is 20cm, yadda yadda, and someone else claimed theyhad the original Hamm yet didnt measure etc, so here is that info.

The Thinkway original Hamm is about 18 CM long, this new one for $15, is 20cm and more accurate. DO NOT PAY SCALPER PRICES FOR THE ORIGINAL HAMM. I have seen those go for well over a $100.

The best thing I can suggest is to mail Thinkway and let them know the demand for HAMM, because at this point it's pretty offiicial that one isnot coming out.

But regarding one TO SCALE. Kyle, if you were to send me that file for the HAMM currently, I can print it out and sculpt the legs, and provide you a casting for the file.

Sure, we can probably do that. Let me work on it a bit more though, I need to make sure its proportions for what I have are so far as as correct as possible.

Also, do we know how far off in scale that one you posted is? how much larger would it need to be?

With the pepekura, I can scale it up or down, and since the "expo Hamm" is pictured directly next to Mr. P, I'm going to get the scale from that.

In the movie, Hamm looks to be about a foot in length, give or take an inch.

Hey TS fans, if anyone wants for free the box pictured under that Hamm, just pm me your address. I'll ship it flat in a larger mailer, so it stays mint and ready to be refolded.

Thanks
Tyler

(ps, off topic post, but didnt want to make a whole thread as most likely no one wants it hahah)

here's how I see it

Eyes are too far apart.
brows are too thin.
his teeth have gaps.
His legs are too skinny where it connects to his body, then too fat near his toes.
His toes/claws/hooves or whatever are too thick.
inside of mouth colored too dark.
Nostrils too small and too slanted

Which picture are you guys talking of?

Anways,
Kyle, your work is badass, and very close and result in a PERFECT 1:1 replica.
As soon as I get Slink and Hamm out of the way, I'll do a Spiderbaby (real erector, custom pieces(legs with markings, "hands", custom head)

W're talking about the first picture.

heres a 360 of what my Hamm looks like at the moment.
Image
Don't mind the hole on that one site of his head, it'll be mirrored later. going to try and add some other details like the coin slot and tail before handing it off to you.

Im wondering if I have the mouth and teeth right, something about it looks off, but its hard to find good reference. the one on the official site makes it hard because his head is at a slant.

I think the expression your doing now is perfect, along with the body. Its in a nice straight line, like the "real" hamm would be (in toy mode), but with his mouth and eyes showing expression in the "alive" mode, the same thing Thinkway did with woody. Which was that they gave him a friendly face, rather than his stern glare the "toy mode" version had.

Looks kickass.

Yes, they're finally out, ha. My Toys R Us had a bunch of Potato Heads, and I picked one up right away. Very cool except the legs, which are very annoying. The eyes are annoying too, but nowhere near as much as the legs... Definitely the most things to complain about here when it comes to accuracy, would rather have had a non-electronic one if it could have been more accurate, but... his abilities are still very entertaining. Anyway, it's true that he is ridiculously hard to get out of the box! And, while the pop out parts feature is funny/cool, it can also be a bit annoying when he does it too often (like when I first turned him on and was trying to check out what he could do).

:( I still haven't seen Potato Head anywhere, and I've checked everytime I go out.

Maybe he'll show up at Disney Store, Toys R Us, or Target when I go down that way on the 20th when I get Monster Hunter for Wii.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

I checked my Disney Store same day. They didn't have him. They did have the worst looking Buzz I've seen though, ha. The heads were all skinny looking for some reason. Anyway, I hope I am able to get Jesse and Bullseye before I'm out of a job (I'll only have one till the last day of May).
