2D animation at its best
2D animation at its best
Here we can discuss scenes that sort of seem out of place but work incredibly well for the movie because it will never look believable and good in 3D animation. Im talking about scenes like pink elephants that show all the things that make 2D one of a kind, it was also done well in "friend like me"
So basically just discuss scenes that seem to go into their own reality and show all the wackiness of 2D animation

Absolutely. Although I'm always disappointed that we don't get to see a little bit more of the firebird in his awesome big bird form. Will Barks wrote:The whole Firebird Sequence of Fantasia2000. It leaves me speechless every time!
And then of course the scene that single-handedly made me decide that I wanted to be a Disney animator... the Beast's transformation. Glen Keane did such an amazing job. And when the pencil test version of it was released on the Platinum Edition I just about peed my pants in excitement. I don't think it can get any better than that.

Many of these scenes could work in 3D animation, I think. Pride Rock, Some of what was made during Walt's lifetime, etc, would possibly work. I think the topic was created to single-out the scenes that downright wouldn't work in any other medium.

"A girl worth fighting for" does it well too, with the images of how their dream girls would look like

I always loved the part in Hercules where the Titans were released (the Cyclops in particular was animated amazingly well).
And the final scene with Cruella. Her car...just...awesome.
