This shouldn't be a surprise looking at the rest of the collection so far. their walking the line of both collector and kids, because I don't think the collector market is big enough. yes it does a bunch of unnecessary stuff driving up the price, but the so has the rest of them, sans the green aliens and army men.

I'm pretty sure they'll allow him to be pressed down, so if that's the case the features that appeal more to kids don't seem to take anything away from the collector's appeal, except more money I guess.

The eye thing is indeed anoying, but Im thankfully they can be corrected as I mentioned.

I actually think that Mr. Potato Head looks really awesome!

Major bummer that the eyes aren't separate, but at least they got Don Rickles to do the voice (or at least, someone who sounds A LOT like him  )

Can't wait till he comes out. I'd love to see some info on Hamm though.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Am I the only one that really wishes they'd make a line of the mutant toys? I would really, really love a Babyhead for my Disneyana shelf.... I think she's probably the most interestingly designed characters in the whole film, especially with that creepy spider walk.

There is a remote control Babyface at the Disney Store. Not a Toy Story Collection, but pretty accurate looking. I was considering it, but it is very creepy looking.

Cool!

I'm a little confused, though. I've heard most fans call her "Babyface." But according to Pixarpedia (which I believe interviewed all of the actual people from Pixar), her name is "Babyhead." Is this sort of like Babette/Fifi/Marie from BatB where several different names are used and accepted?

^^^ I always thought it was Babyface, too.

And does anyone know when Mr. Potato Head is supposed to come out?

Yeah it is Babyface...Even Woody calls that toy Babyface that when they are making a plan to save Buzz from Sid....he mentions the other names too such as Roller-Bob and Ducky and Legs....not to mention BabyFace...I even remember there was a trading card that refered to the toy as BabyFace

I actually remember a Toy Story Coloring book that said to draw your take on Mutant Toys....or something to that effect....I think I even did that once..I had my cousin take off the legs of a Ninja Turtle and he used a scredriver to attatch the wings that came off of baxter stockman's aka the fly's wings and attatch them to the turtle....I don't where or whatever happened to that toy....but it was cool

I watched the scene on YouTube just now, because I didn't remember hearing him say that. He refers to Pump Boy (?), Legs, Ducky, Rollerbob, and the Frog. That's it.

So.... who's Pump Boy? Because Sid's toys not mentioned by Woody are: Babyhead/Babyface, Hand-in-the-box, Jingle Joe, and Rockmobile. (I think that's it, but I'm not sure).

Well, my issue with Potato Head, not that I won't be getting him, is that this one seems to sacrifice appearance accuracies the most for the sake of the electronic/play aspects. The feet with those stilts is probably what I'm thinking of the most. And I have no reason to believe that we'll be able to press him down to hide the legs, but I'll cross my fingers anyway.

As for Babyface, here is an Ebay auction with a picture of the toy in its packaging, and the packaging reads Babyface, and I could swear Woody calls him that in the film at least once. http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-Store-Toy-St ... 51904616fc

just because they didn't press it down in the commercial doesn't mean it cant, and there's still this promo photo with it pressed down.

While its clear it has changed since this pic was taken (the "legs" have changed colors) I don't think there's any real reason to assume its suddenly gone just yet.

As for baby face, I'm pretty sure it was never mentioned within the movie itself, but someone prove me wrong.

If I remember right, Pump Boy is the car with human limbs on it instead of wheels.

I guess I was mistaken about Woody mentioning Babyface.....but I thought somewhere in the movie somebody mentions it....guess im wrong..

however this proves the mutants toy name is indeed Babyface...a toy from 1995

After all of the discussion I went to check out Babyface at the Disney Store. They were on the clearance shelf for $9.99

^^^ Really?

I remember seeing it for ~$40 ( :o ) and being like "That's way too expensive for that" but if I see it for like 10 bucks I'll probably buy it lol

Someone on another forum just pointed out that a difference between the old and new version of Mr potato head that I hadn't noticed, the one seen in the commercial has a unibrow, the one in the picture I posted does not. odd change...

Oh, well in that case, yeah, she probably is Babyface. Pumpboy was referred to as "Walking Car" in Pixarpedia... :P
But, wow, if she's only $10, I might have to pick her up next time I go to the Disney Store....

I thought maybe I'd get lucky and find Mr. Potato Head today (since it is my birthday lol) but no such luck. Is he even supposed to be out soon? I figure we wouldn't get an ad like that unless he should be out soon.

All we know is sometime before now and june. I think you'll know when he's due soon, you'll see websites telling you when to expect shipments and whatnot. But he's not out yet.

Anyway, new toy story collection pics from the toy fair.

I love the packaging! My only nitpick is that the wings on Buzz's ship are missing.

Their not missing, their inside the box, same as the normal buzz. (that's utility belt buzz if you hadn't noticed. )
