I wouldn't be surprised if there's a brief bit in DH where Harry and Hermione are looking over "The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore" and see a moving picture of Rita on the inside dust jacket. It'd be a bit more work for Miranda Richardson to do other than voiceover work.Widdi wrote:ajmrowland, Mugglenet's movie info is not up-to-date. Miranda confirmed in an interview a couple of months ago that, if asked, she would do Deathly Hallows in a heartbeat. The thing is Rita Skeeter isn't in DH physically. She is mentioned and things she has written are in the book, but there is no scene with Rita there personally, so there is no need for her to be in the movie. Maybe some voice-over work while Harry is reading her interviews and book, but that's about it.

This is not to counter-act you two as wrong; I just want to point out her changing her mind. Back in Goblet of Fire, she said she did not believe in sequels. Yet, here she is, saying she'd say yes the first moment she's asked to be in Deathly Hallows. I wonder if it is being the Harry Potter series which changed her mind?

Well, I think that the difference is that Harry Potter was a planned-out series from the beginning, not just a film franchise where it's like "Hey, this sold well! Let's make another one and get more money!"

For Richardson, the evidence seems against me.
For Thompson, however, I can link you the interview.

A little late, I know, but it's a good rub.

Best Buy has the best price on "Half Blood Prince" Blu-Ray ($17.99). Target is advertising it for $19.99. Also the Extended Editions of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" are coming out the same day. "Sorcerer's Stone" has only 7 minutes added to the film, but a ton of Blu-Ray extras, and "Chamber of Secrets" has over 14 minutes added to the film in this release. Best Buy prices them on sale for $32.99 this week.

Never, do I buy on-line. Don't trust anyone with my Credit Card numbers, no matter how secure they say they are. Too many incidents have occurred during the holidays with hackers stealing numbers, I don't want to be one of them.
Anyone notice that Target is selling the standard DVD editions of the Extended Harry Potter films 1 and 2 for $15 each. But no mention of the Blu-Ray price of $39.99 each. Target is really slow about jumping aboard the Blu-Ray train to success.
Will be picking up my stuff at Best Buy tomorrow morning, and watching it tomorrow afternoon and evening.

So..I got this one from my dad 4 days ago. I already saw the movie at the cinema and I liked it. Now that I've watched it on DVD, I like it even more!
And my dad bought me another surprise...The Ultimate Editions for years one and two!!!!
I was so happy, since I really thought those sets were beautiful, but didn't feel the need to buy the movies again, since I already have the regular DVDs.
But, for the people who are real HP fans, I really recommend it. Disc one is disc 1 from the normal 2 disc DVDs.
Disc two features the Extended versions of the movies (But it's only 7 and 13 exta minutes). Still worth it!
Disc three is disc 2 from the 2 disc set.
Disc four features part one (part two on year 2) of the all new Eight hour long documentary (scattered across the eight movies, including the ones to come).

Okay, all you Potter fans, another thread is being ignored, so I will ask here - is anyone going to participate in the special BD Live with Daniel Radcliffe this Saturday, December 12 at 8 pm eastern time? This is your chance to talk with Daniel and also get to see an exclusive 8-minute clip from "Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows" movie that is coming in November 2010 and July 2011.
Any Blu-Ray people here going to paricipate in this BD Live Event????
