I never voted or posted here so I'll do that now. I'm looking forward to The Little Mermaid the most, followed by Aladdin. TLM is my 2nd favorite animated classic while Aladdin is 3rd/4th.

After Aladdin I want The Little Mermaid, Great Mouse Detective, then The Rescuers!
YAY Only 225 days, and 16 hour left!!!!!!!(Japanese time, Amercan like, what? 224 days and 23 hours??? ...I think...)
First of all, wouldn't the Japanese be closer to October 5 than the States?(you've been to aladdincentral.org, haven't you?)

Aladdin definitely. That's been my favorite ever since I can remember. I'm just glad that Proud of Your Boy is not going to be put into the movie. *yes!*

I'm looking forward to seeing Proud of Your Boy. I think it's better it wasn't intergrated into the film, as I don't think it would be the best fit, but I do wish they had added a new song to the film, maybe that new Jasmine song everyone keeps talking about. Lea Solonga has such a nice vioce! :)

Anyway, that's about all I have to add at this time.

Which Jasmine song?

Anyway, I read that if a Jasmine song is put in, Lea Solonga will probably not sing it, but the girl who did Jasmine's singing voice in Return of Jafar and King of Thieves will do it. I hope it's not true, but that's what I read.

Then again, I didn't even notice that the singing voice was different in the two sequels until much later, so I guess it wouldn't really matter...

Mine are Cinderella and Bambi. All of the others have a release out to subsidize the craving, except for Aladdin. However, Aladdin is a pre-release already scheduled and will be arriving soon.

Bambi, for me, is the one I'm most looking forward to ... but I anticipate them all.

Disney should open up their eyes and see that the fans really want Cinderella and The Little Mermaid! Well I guess they have a marketing plan of their own

Sticking to the rules...

I think the order will be:

Aladdin
Bambi (obviously, we know these two)
Cinderella
Lady and the Tramp
The Little Mermaid
101 Dalmations
The Jungle Book

(I still contend that the other additions won't actually be labeled as Platinums, and that the SB:SE was what Disney meant by that).

A new restoration for Snow White's 70th Anniversary?

Post by Deco King »

I can't wait to see what Disney will do for the fast approaching 70th Anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 2007? Surely the movie that started it all must have the ultimate restoration job - look for example at the Gone With The Wind restoration that Warner Bros are doing for the November 2004 release on DVD! Restoration techniques are evolving all the time and with high bit DVD and High Definition TV we need the greatest restoration job of all time!!

I don't think there's reason for Disney to do a new DVD transfer for Snow White in 2007. Only the nitpickiest of nitpickers will find anything less-than-jake about the 2001 DVD. A high definition transfer would be a different story, but the next home video format almost certainly won't be around yet.
