This is one of those threads where people patiently write out a whole posts, only to have no-one reply. Everyone else is busy writing their own! So I'll do some concise replies to the latest entries so that you honeys won't feel your typing skills have gone to waste.

For some odd reason I sweat cat nip, because whenever I cat is near my feet, my shoes or my dirty clothes he enters a surreal state of joy and falls asleep on either my feet or my clothes.

That cracked me up! It's simultaneously gross and cute. But much more cute than gross. You cute Puerto Rican you!

I used to be able to float when I went to the pool or river, but now that I gained weight I sink like a rock.

This is confusing. Why would extra weight prevent you from floating? I'm very overweight (I'm tall so most people don't think I'm that fat, but the sad truth is I'm almost obese - even if it's not obvious) and I can still float. Technically, fat should make you more buoyant.

My mom went and saw "The Lion King" 6 times with my sister when I was in my mom's stomach.

Glad to see you've since then been efficiently digested and smoothly travelling through your mother's circulatory system. You've honourably provided her with many carbohydrates, proteins, minerals and vitamins.

I've been looking at UD since 2005. I didn't find the forum until this year.

Ugh! That happened to me too! I joined in 2006 (when I discovered the forum), but it's probable I'd been visiting the site since 2003.

To think, had I used my eyes earlier I'd be a UD veteran by now, and have the automatic right to use my seniority for writing snarky and snobbish comments and belittling newbies! I kid! I kid!

I knew this already but it still fascinates me since you look like a white dude, and so does your younger brother!

Genetics and ethnicity are so unpredictable. In Malta we have a mixed ethnic history due to the country having been occupied by the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, the French and the British amongst others. Consequently, during the last 500 years the locals have married and had kids with foreigners, and it shows. Though we're Mediterranean you see people with varying complexions. Some are slightly tanned, like me (i.e. white in skin colour but not as pale as say, a British or (to an extreme) a Scandinavian), others are a little paler, and we even have people who are outright blonde, freckly and very very white. If you look at the faces you see an almost Arabic look in some, Italian features in others, and everything else outside that and in between.

Damn, we're one messed up cocktail!

I'm deaf in my right ear.

That sucks. Although through everyday life one ear is really enough to get you through the day, it obviously spoils the possibilites of e.g. surround sound when viewing movies - and with us being into movies and all - that's sort of a shame.

I believe we have another UD user whose deaf from one ear: numba1lostboy.

well you can see I'm not toally a white dude julian my skin looks tanned all the tiem, and my hair is kinna black people ish...but yeah mixes are crazy.

I have a mixed race cousin and his skin isn't that dark, that's probably because he is only 1/4 black and 3/4 caucasian. There is also someone I know of (one of my sister's friend) who is mixed race (again 1/4 black) and you would never have guessed because his features, hair and skin are like that of a caucasian, however he does tan well and has quite olive skin but so does my other sister and she isn't black at all. It's amazing how genetics can be stronger on a specific side, I remember in the paper a woman giving birth to two mixed race twins and one had white skin and the other had darker.

So which side do you have black heritage Mike, is it your Mother's side or your Dad's...?

My dad's side he's really dark, like midnight dark, and my mom is a twin so she has really strong gentic traits. Me father and I don't share too many similar qualities outside of being .

My brother however shares a lot more traits than my me, he has various birth mark colors on his skin like my father, and suffers from slight *slight* Vitiligo like my father.

I got my own car yesterday!!! Which is a huge, huge deal to me since I haven't had a car of my own since mine broke down over two years ago.

Yay, no more being stranded at home!!! I can take myself wherever I need and no longer have to rely on someone else for transportation. And it's an automatic, thank god!

On Facebook a friend of mine has been doing nothing but post about him being laid off. I would be sad if it wasn't for the fact that he is already working as a teacher at an University, so now he is just complaining for the hell of it >.<
