Speaking of Whitney, I really don't want to have expectations too high, but with the lack of promo and the fact that very few people can sell millions of albums these days, I'm really hoping Whitney can at least go Gold and sell 500K of ILTY. Anything more would be just gravy. I feel the same way about La Streisand's upcoming album.
I enjoy much of ILTY, but IMHO, the weak spots are actually the two ballads - the title track and I Didn't Know My Own Strength. They sound more like filler ballads you'd hear on albums by one-hit-wonder Whitney wannabes than ballads worthy of THE Whitney Houston. But "Call You Tonight," "Salute," "Worth It," "Like I Never Left," and "For The Lovers" are in heavy rotation on my player right now.
